I've seen better from him many times. Good to know that he says he is 7 months sober... That could explain alot.

Last night's show was terrible - he played for 85 minutes including a setbreak and no encores - left the stage at 10:35 because a few drunk people were screaming song names. He's a big baby.

Ryan's behavior last night was totally unacceptable - while some audience members were being total jerks (not sure why they were there if they just wanted to antagonize him?) - he still had 1400 other people who weren't being jerks and had paid good money to hear him play. It was particularly disappointing when he did storm off the stage like a child since the beginning of the concert, before his temper tantrum, was looking like the best show of all three nights.

Started brilliantly (Sweet Caroline was awesome). The band was so on point for the first three songs and then things started going sour real fast during the second set. Yikes.

I was at the Monday show, and I thought it was great. There was a lot of jamming, which I am not used to from Ryan, but the band was tight, and the harmonies were incredible. I would've liked to have heard more old material, but I guess he was saving that for night three.
The vibe was ruined for me though, by this bald headed a-hole whose mission was to ruin the show for everyone around him.

HAH! I too saw the bald-headed a-hold in the loge area. He flipped about the Grateful Dead cover... umm, which sucked by the way... Grateful Dead? Seriously? I hate to say it, but Ryan Adams really sucked on Monday. He played crap selections, was out of tune a lot, had to actually stop a song due to technical issues, and botched some of my favorite tunes. I think he was bored with his old standards, but to change them beyond recognition is just as good as not seeing them at all. I don't expect a jukebox, but I should recognize some songs. It's nice to see performers hit songs without digital remastering, etc. The show was disappointing (altho he was magical at the Bowery a few months ago).

I get sort of sick of people ragging on Ryan..he's amazing. Saw Tues and it was great because he changed up a lot of the old arrangements...dropped the harmonica from Firecracker (which I always found annoying anyway)...turned some older ones into raunchy blues romps...long grateful-dead-ish jams with amazing guitar interplay between ryan and the other guitarist. just great...I think he did a fair amount of new stuff....Nora Jones (who opened) joined him for Dear John..... It was a great show in my opinion....although it ended at 11:00 and I would have preferrred if he went all night. By the way, he is an amazing guitarist...incredibly skilled and makes it seem easy, like some of the greats.

Saw Wed show too, and it was like a different guy with a different band....but was also great. Did tons of older stuff (openened with Come Pick Me Up). Unlike when I saw him a few times last year (pre-sober), very little talking in between songs...one would end and he'd dive into the next... so the pace and momentum was great throughout most of the show. The band was extremely tight from start to finish. Yeah, I don't know why it annoys him so much when people shout out requests...goes with the R 'n R territory and always will...so he should just deal, and his snide comments were funny for a while but did sort of turn into a buzzkill.... but, all in all a great show. His moodiness is just part of what you get with a Ryan show..if you don't like it, don't go. I didn't get the impression he stomped off the stage, as someone else wrote. I think he finished his set list within 90 minutes because the pace was so quick and was done. He was friendly, thanked everybody, and the band left. Encore wouldda been nice though.

And, thanks to Ryan for doing a different set every night. Its great when an artist goes the extra length like this with the multiple night attendee in mind. Wish I saw all three nights...
