I'm going to sue the James Brown estate for ruining my New Years Eve Plans.

So they're not offering a refund to anyone who bought a ticket before James Brown passed away?

I feel for you.

Wow a free poster! That will go great with the free "I brake for Monster Booty" bumper sticker I got when I bought the CD from the TV commercial.

They are legally obligated to offer refunds

The show is supposed to be with special guests and in memory of James Brown. So it's not as blatantly bait and switch as you guys are making it seem.

getting a refund won't bring the godfather back.

"getting a refund won't bring the godfather back."
Actually, I heard it will. Haven't you ever heard of raising the dead via Ticketmaster refunds? It works, really.

The level of discourse here is worthy of Aristotle.

I thought Chaka Khan was dead too.

oh thank heavens they booked chaka khan instead of doing somethin like an allstar tribute, espeically people who payed 150-200 a ticket, now instead of seeing james brown they get to see chaka khan (not to put her down). But wouldnt it have been much more appropriate to have people like bb king, buddy guy...a bunch of James Brown's friends? Sorry but what a rip.
