Tickets are now on sale (thx Eduardo) for a March 6th Grizzly Bear show at Bowery Ballroom in NYC. It's the last date on a five-week tour they're starting in February with Dirty Projectors, and then Papercuts. All dates below...

ughh, what's up with the weekday bowery shows? they couldn't get a weekend in March???

weekday shows are fine, they start earlier and end earlier. Honestly I prefer them.

Yep, on these days there is even free on street parking on the NYC streets (for people like me who comes to the city from central Jersey)

so to summarize. i'ts not all that bad to see shows on weekends, sometimes it can even be beneficial.
saturday, tuesday, labor day, whatever. I'm there. ihope there is good support

can anyone tell me if they actually check for id at the bowery since the show in 18+?

yeah they check, as to how rigorous they are with real IDs I'm not sure, but they definitely check

my friend was denied entrance to an 18+ show at bowery because she had no id. and she was well over 18.

i would proudly get a fake id if i were street savvy and knew where to get one. so is anyone willing to show a poor 17 year old girl a place to get a good fake id?
