Why do the Golden Globe Awards lump together musical and comedy into the same category? The nominees for "best motion picture - musical or comedy" are:

the devil wears prada? really? but it was so bad! and fuck dreamgirls, too. if any of the other three win i'll be happy... but then again, it's the golden globes and i don't really give a shit.

I agree, Devil Wears Prada was a terrible movie. I didn't read the book, but I have never felt so much dislike for EVERY character in the movie. The main character was much more dislikable then the "evil" owner.
As far as awards go, who cares? It's just another way for multi-millionaires to pat themselves on the back.

For me, these awards are also a guide for what movies to seek out. To each his own.
