James Brown was scheduled to perform at B.B. King's on New Year's Eve. They've now scheduled Chaka Khan ("the 'Reigning Queen Of Soul'"? :cough:Aretha:cough:) for that night. What's more, if I recall correctly, James Brown was scheduled to perform two shows that night. They didn't call him the hardest-working man in show biz for nothing.

to the family of mr.james brown:
it was with a saddened surprise the i learned of the death of the godfather of soul. it's always a terrible shock when someone so close to you passes away. the godfather of soul was loved by many and will be missed by all.

From South Carolina to New York, remembering the man that made put the " MU " in Music .. The man that put the " SO " in Soul .. One can only imagine that soon we'll hear the song, " I'm Livin' In Heaven Now ".

Remembering passing his house off Farmers Blvd. in Long Island, and knowing that a true Soul Musician lived there shall always be a wonderful thought.

God Bless the Soul of James Brown for all that he has done, he accompished and was useful to all of us.
