SUPERSYSTEM @ T&G BLOCK PARTY | SEPT 8, 2006 (MORE)
Supersystem

Friends,

After 10 years, the members of Supersystem/El Guapo have decided to disband. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank everyone at Touch and Go, Dischord, Flower, Locusta, and others too numerous to name here for all your help over the years.

Most of all we would like to thank everyone who supported us, saw us play, listened to our music, set up a show, played a show with us, or otherwise participated in making our time as a band really awesome. We appreciate it and will miss you!

Love,
Supersystem (via)

such a bummer - consistently kickass live, and they're really great guys too.

maybe if you (and others) reported on their shows and records and not their demise they wouldn't have had to break up.

maybe if they didn't suck they wouldn't have had to break up

don't worry you can always listen to PROFESSOR MURDER their songs are such as melodic and their lyrics are just as poetic. NOT!

does sucking necessitate breaking up? aren't there, like, thousands of bands together who suck but don't break up? that comment makes no sense.

it must be depressing for a band like el guapo/supersystem who have been putting forward fantastic efforts for years to see that no one comes to their shows. ever.

i'm suprised they lasted this long considering all the (terribly incorrect) pitchfork naysaying and lack of fan-based support.

sad to see them go. wished they'd play a few more shows before it was over...

I hate how pitchfork trashed Supersystem but gives Professor Murder handjobs left and right. What year is it? 2002? Did "Ecchoes" never come out? And what's with Pitchfork calling Supersystem a Gang Of Four ripoof act? Have they actually listened to Professor Murder? Or Moving Units? Or Radio 4? Insane.

good! more time for justin to dedicate to antelope - a far superior band, imo.

now if edie would die, already.
