Arcade Fire playing School Cafeteria | Neon Bible PRE-ORDER

"One of the hottest Canadian bands, the Arcade Fire, are treating Canterbury High School students to an impromptu concert. While the Arcade Fire's upcoming five-night stints in Montreal and New York sold-out within minutes, the indie rock super-group is offering an informal concert at Canterbury's school cafeteria on the evening of Friday, Jan. 19." [Ottawa Citizen]
The band is also rumored to be playing at least one more impromptu show in Canada. They've been up to lots of fun stuff actually - most of which I can't keep track of, but the coolest of which is that THEY ARE ACTUALLY ANSWERING THE PHONE AND CALLING PEOPLE BACK when they call the "Neon Bible Hotline".
Also - the Neon Bible website is full of cool stuff, they announced a European tour, a fourth track leaked, a fan made leaked-song video was pulled off YouTube, and THE ALBUM ("Neon Bible") IS AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER. That's the cover art there to the right.

THEY PICKED UP THE PHONE?!?? Wait a minute... we're still talking about the Arcade Fire, right? When did they turn into the greatest band in the historyoftheuniversergalaxywholewideworldever!? They're great musicians & all, but not cream-in-your-jeans superstars. I don't even know the names of the people in the band these days. Weren't there like, 12 of them last album?
And yes, I got tickets for one of their NYC shows, so lick my nuts, bitches.

Arcade fire are definatley scream at their shows, die when you have a converstion with them after kind of superstar rock band.
plus they are amazing people. They played a show at my school (Richard's an alum of the Literary arts) to raise money for our specialized arts porgram, because the board and stupid conservative government are cutting funding and actually trying to close down what may be the best high school in canada.
