congrats, bv. this post shows up, what 15-20 mins after the presale started? and, a pw is required, and no pw to be found here. this site used to be reliable for this kinda stuff, and now? what a letdown. anyone out there more interested in running a cool local music blog instead of organizing festivals and posting about comedy?

Posted by Anonymous | January 18, 2007 1:29 PM

Apparently there was a MySpace message posted yesterday on Bright Eyes' page, instructing you to register & receive a password.

Don't you kids use the MySpace?

Posted by anon | January 18, 2007 1:34 PM

man... i finally got into that page and the freakin new york shows are sold out...

why wouldn't it let me in before they were sold out, asking me for a password for a half hour, and then finally just letting me right in only to see that there aren't any tickets left...!?!?!?!

It seem that someone just coded the link wrong to begin with on ThisisBrightEyes.com.

There never was a password - just a code in their URL that told the browser to ask for one.

The original link they had up there:
http://tickets.thisisbrighteyes.com/password

The fixed link:
http://tickets.thisisbrighteyes.com

damn, I bought tickets for both LA shows and then Chicago for a friend before noticing there was a 4 ticket limit on the front page -- I hope that's a per show limit, I don't want my orders canceled!

Posted by zach | January 18, 2007 2:05 PM

I went through all the steps waiting for the payment screen and eventually it just said "Thank you for your order". I got my confirmation email telling me that I have 3 tickets at 0.00 for the Saturday show, what should I make of this????

Posted by William Lupo | January 18, 2007 2:22 PM

That was pretty weird. I tried to buy 4 for Friday and 4 for Saturday. Got a confirmation saying I got 4 for Friday, -3 for Saturday, resulting in a total charge of $26.

Then, I tried just buying 4 Saturday tickets. Got a confirm for 4 at $0.00.

Bizarre!

I bet they just cancel everything!

Nice job, Bright Eyes!

why do so many people love this tool?

Posted by Anonymous | January 18, 2007 3:31 PM

all of these presales are such a mess. this one was especially bad. i have one real ticket for friday and then 2 bogus $0.00 ones for saturday. it'll be interesting to see how this all works out....

sure it kinda sucks, but consider they're are putting effort into providing an alternative to the "processing fees" which is something they don't have to do at all. i mean its shitty and poorly programmed now, but its a step in the non-ticketmaster direction which is nice to see.

so while it's not perfect, at least he's making an effort.

what none of you whiney emo bitches seems to understand is that a venue only holds so many people. supply and demand. If you didn't get a ticket, someone else did. At least you had a chance, so shut up. whether its you or the next guy, 500 people got tickets. love thy neighbor. out.

arg. i hate ticketmaster. it is definitely not the "master" in relation to tickets. i got tickets for the chicago show, but not through blasted ticketmaster. i got two tickets for $120. Not that bad, but it will be worth it. I hate how everything is so flipping expensive when it comes to this crap. Conor would NOT want this for his fans.
