"i had two and then ticketweb crapped out on me. couldn't get any tickets. this blows."
The same fucking thing happened to me. Fuck Ticketweb, absolutely worthless.

i was about to check out then it got fucked up,now i cant get any.lame
Posted by andrew | January 25, 2007 10:08 AM
Ticketweb saying "no tickets are available through ticketweb at this time" does NOT mean it's sold out, it means the server is being overloaded. KEEP TRYING, I just got mine.
Posted by Benjamin | January 25, 2007 10:14 AM
I picked up tickets to Friday night moments ago
Posted by K | January 25, 2007 10:16 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 10:20 AM
it's not possible. i had 6 people trying to get tix. and one got through, i gave my information and then it crapped out on me too. pretty annoying. oh well.

Got one for Friday at 10:33.
Posted by MDK | January 25, 2007 10:29 AM
ditto. got some at 10:34. keep refreshing, and praying.
Posted by Lucky | January 25, 2007 10:29 AM
I also got a note from the fan club saying that my tickets were being held.
It seems that the tickets go onsale before the actual start time these days. Is anyone else finding this? Not a lot before, but a few minutes.
Posted by anon | January 25, 2007 10:32 AM
i get the tickets and hit checkout and it says sold out....anyone having this happen now?
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 10:33 AM
Yep - got one for Saturday at 10.40am. Just keep hitting refresh.
Posted by Alex | January 25, 2007 10:36 AM

Posted by roy | January 25, 2007 10:36 AM

There are errors in your form submission:

saturday is still not sold out.
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 10:37 AM
can't get tix...totally sux. i think i've hit 'refresh' 37,000 times. and the shit is already on stubhub for $101 a pop.
Posted by stephanie | January 25, 2007 10:40 AM
I was trying for 10 minutes before, for the reason anon suggests and I didn't even get the green "tickets on sale" ticket image until 10 a.m. exactly. So at least for me it appears they did not go on sale early.
Posted by Lucky | January 25, 2007 10:42 AM
not to be one of those dicks that's like "oh so and so sucks, why do you care about these tickets", but come on! Unless you are 16 years old, why in the hell would you care about Bright Eyes? It's just whiny, pre-pubescent crap.
Well, have fun having a little cry-fest at the Bowery Ballroom, if you can get tickets. If you don't get them, you can just put on one of Mr. Oberst's records and cry anyway. Either way, it's the same result.
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 10:46 AM
both days: not sold out
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 10:49 AM
FYI - Ticketweb's server crashed on me, got a screen with a bunch of computer programming language.
But keep trying. Had to start over with the back button/"checkout" game and scored a pair around 10:45.
And for the 10:46 comment, if you hate them so much, why are you reading the comments? Is your life so boring that you read about things you don't even like? Get a real job.

It only took 47 minutes for the obligatory "this band sucks you guys are losers" comment to surface...the sad part is you identified yourself as a douche before you proved it.
Get over yourself. Please.

I just called Ticketweb and they confirmed that both shows are sold out.
Posted by Maggie | January 25, 2007 11:01 AM
the phone line is incorrect, they said tix were sold out at 10:30
Posted by michael | January 25, 2007 11:04 AM
yeah the phone line told me it was sold out as I was confirming my credit card.
Posted by jonathan | January 25, 2007 11:10 AM
extras? please email me!
Posted by Alicia | January 25, 2007 11:35 AM
Doesn't ticketweb usually release extras the day of the show? I wouldn't worry about it; just keep your eyes on ticketweb, especially the day before and the day of.
Posted by klaus_kinski | January 25, 2007 11:45 AM
i predict you kiddies will have multiple chances to see Mr. Oberst & Friends play in the fall in nyc, and many other cities. remember that these are the PRE-Release gigs for the new record. do you have a fatalist attitude that the Wunderkin doesn't plan to tour supporting his new record?
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 11:54 AM
What is the phone number for ticketweb?
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 11:59 AM
how can I know so many music fans, and meet so many people that go to shows, yet not know a single person that gives a shit about bright eyes. Who are all these people buying these tickets?
Are they really just teenagers?
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 12:05 PM
OMG you're so cool can you teach me how to be elitist too? please???
Posted by matthew | January 25, 2007 12:21 PM
Alicia-
Supplying an e-mail address usually helps when you want people to e-mail you.
Posted by Matt | January 25, 2007 12:21 PM
got one just now.
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 12:25 PM
Ok, so I finally got through for Saturday tickets, but when I tried to select two, it told me there weren't enough seats...so I selected one and it went through...wtf?
It's not possible I got the very last one, is it?
Posted by matthew | January 25, 2007 12:27 PM
got one...12:30
Posted by myc | January 25, 2007 12:31 PM
I've gotten to the ticket request page and asked for one or two for saturday multiple times and it always says none are available. The system seems to sporadically say "yes."
Posted by Greg | January 25, 2007 12:39 PM
Went to Mercury Lounge Box office at 12 exactly and the prick working box office scowled at me like I shouldnt even be asking him if they had any!
Posted by sticks | January 25, 2007 12:40 PM
after seeing some of these comments i've gone back to try again, but no luck so far. if anyone has an extra for saturday then should email me jlc527 at nyu.edu.
Posted by joe | January 25, 2007 12:47 PM
I got on two choose # of tickets on ticketweb. Any possibility of the sale going thru if I sit here and refresh all day!?
Posted by sticks | January 25, 2007 12:52 PM

Obviously you dont know what you are talking about, and most likely miss out on a lot of great music.
Posted by Anonymous | January 25, 2007 1:01 PM
got one!! 1:13 PM
Posted by joe | January 25, 2007 1:06 PM
OK, the ticket web system is pretty fukked up. Luckily I just got 2 tickets right now, at 1:20pm and I tried at 10am to no avail. It just sporadically decides to sell you tickets whenever it wants. Dont give up, and refresh like 120 times before you actually get results.

Posted by Anonymous | January 28, 2007 5:46 PM
ticketmaster is worthless too, they said the tickets we're $25, but it said sold out, so I went to other places, and saw the cheapest was $118 each for back row seats in somerville!!!

"so much for taking out the girl i'm in love with to see her favorite fucking band ever"
Sounds like you need a girlfriend with better taste in music. But you are only kids, you'll grow to appreciate better music eventually.
