Clipse played Bowery Ballroom
Clipse @ Bowery Ballroom, NYC | Jan 24, 2007 (CRED)

I saw Camera Obscura and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah last night, but not Clipse. Wes didn't make it either. How was it?
More pics like the above here. Tickets are on sale for Clipse @ BB King's on April 26th.

The concert was decent but in no way as good as the recent Knitting Factory shows this past year. The sound was a bit off, probably due to the fact that Bowery never puts on hip hop shows. Pusha T insisted on yelping all of his lines in a high pitched yelp and the sound system favoring the highs didn't help things. Malice as usual was the highlight, not feeling the need to fill up the space with yelling, he calmly spit his lines with the grace of Maria.

How about the real doofy white boy in the front that knew all the wrods? The Clipse LOVED him. It was really funny and cute. Malice actually bowed down to him and they gave him the mic for two songs. Concert was ill...

BV, thanks for linking to my photos. I have a re-cap and video up at my blog if anyone is interested.
And what hip-hop show doesn't have its share of (doofy) white people?

these doofy white guys who were on the line to get in were drinking coors in paper bags and going like "euhhh i saw talib this summer." the bouncer came over and was like, "yo is that beer. ANSWER ME WHEN IM TALKIN TO YOU, IS THAT BEER?" and only one of them answered that it was. "just go around the block with it," he advised them so the bowery ballroom wouldnt be responsible for their public intoxication.
two of them didn't move so he started shoving them and saying, "DO YOU HEAR ME MOTHERFUCKER" and one of them STILL didn't really want to walk and he really didn't look wasted so the bouncer kept pushing him down the street and I thought I was gonna see some deaths that night.
honestly those doofy white guys can be a little hardcore

Might I inquire as to if all white people are considered "doofy" or just those that enjoy hip-hop?
Might I also note that without all of those (60%) of doofy white people there that show would have been half the (not even sold out) crowd it was!
Props to all the people, doofy white people included, who support music they enjoy.

At least 80% who view this site are white doofy guys, what hip-hop shows do you go to where there isnt 60% white dudes?
