The Stephen Malkmus show at Maxwell's sold right out. One disgruntled message board member wrote:

WHAT THE HELL!!?!?!?! The tickets were listed on TicketWeb but never became available for sale. It said it would be available at 12 and I kept refreshing the screen. At about 12:06 it was simply listed as SOLD OUT. WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?!?!
That sucks - luckily (sort of) $10+$3.40fee tickets are still on sale for his slightly-larger-venue performance at the Plug Awards the previous day - though keep in mind that his set there will only be about 40 minutes - they have a lot of awards to give out - and Deerhoof, Tokyo Police Club, Silversun Pickups, and El-P are playing too.

Great lineup... I'm psyched

Yeah, I opted for the Plug awards. 40 minutes of Malkmus is about all I need.

I slept on the Maxwells show so I picked up tickets for this performance. Nice lineup and David Cross should make the evening move along. BV, you're up for an award, no? Do you make an acceptance speech and all that jazz?

when was this show announced? how do you people keep up?

in other ticket news, Sonic Youth has a show up at bowery presents. nice.

you can still get tickets at tunes in hoboken.

A year ago, to this day, SM played a mostly-request acoustic show at the Knitting Factory for $5, a respectable deal considering the amount of Pavement he laid out. You could have gotten tickets at the door that night. This sells out in minutes? Baby, come on!

Has anyone ever been to the Plug Awards before? What's it like?

Clearly, you should have used tickets.com!

I managed to get two tickets. I am not surprised that it sold out so fast.

"but plug awards"...

yeah, definitely checking out the plug awards instead. that's a ridiculously kickass lineup for about $16 (when you opt to just print the tix yourself), AND david cross will be doing something or other.

Not sure if this person hit refresh after the screen set please do not hit refresh again or you will lose your place but that is a definite no when trying to get tickets....just open another window...do not pound refresh.

I hit refresh on my browser at noon, waited about 30 - 45 second and pulled tickets with ease.

A lot of shows go back on sale day of so all hope is not lost...

Other Music had tickets and no wait this afternoon around 5:25.

Got my tickets, so no more trading!
