The Police to reunite this year?
DOWNLOAD The Police - Walking on the Moon (MP3)

"STING is in talks to reform The Police for a special tour to mark their 30th anniversary. The group, who have not played together since 1984, are considering a series of summer concerts across the UK. Rehearsal dates have already been planned, say music industry sources." [The Mirror] (via)

To borrow a phrase from a Pink Floyd forum:
You can go to this show or you can send your kids to college, but you cannot do both

sting's going to be in new york anyway for the rainforest benefit in spring, maybe that would be a good time for the police to play here.

Sting still cares about the rainforests? I remember seeing a TV commercial for the Nissan Xterra SUV in 2000 or 2001 that used the opening notes of "Walking on the Moon." Environmentalists were sounding the alarm about global warming back then; Sting should've known better than to help sell gas-guzzlers.

I really thought I'd be more excited about this. I'm more intrigued to learn that they're rehearsing here! (in Van) maybe they need a man-fluffer. ew
