joe's pub used to be a far better venue when they didn't shove the two-drink minimum down your throat.

I realize that this has absolutely nothing to do with Alejandro Escovedo, but is anyone else pumped for the Rage Against the Machine / Wu Tang show at the end of July in New York?

They only enforce the 2 drink minimum if you are sitting at a table. If you stand or sit on a bar stool, you don't have to buy anything.

really? thanks. that's actually really good to know. though last time i went, i was sitting on one of the couches near a table and they tried forcing me into two drinks. next time, i'll stick by the bar.
