"In advance of its imminent Anti- debut and extensive eight week U.S. tour, Antibalas – the socially-diverse and politically-minded New York collective – is drawing rave reviews for the John (Tortoise, Stereolab, Tom Ze) McEntire-produced Security. In celebration of the album's March 6th release date, Antibalas' dozen-strong line-up revs up to entertain the people once again. Beginning with what promises to be an electric hometown show at Brooklyn's Warsaw on March 10th, the band will then hit SXSW for a series of concerts, followed by record release galas at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall and the Troubador in Los Angeles."

I've got a (leaked) copy of their new album. Its pretty great, they are really taking Afrobeat to a new place on some of the songs. Love the hip-hop drums on the first track. The biggest problem is that the energy wanes by the end of the album...
