This is not a post about Cloud Cult's new album "The Meaning of 8". That doesn't mean I'm not excited about it. It just doesn't officially come out until April 10th, 2007, so I thought I would hold off a little. That is the cover art above though, and this is the video for the already-a-hit song "Chemicals Collide":

Tickets are still on sale for a Cloud Cult show at Mercury Lounge in NYC on April 14, 2007. I feel lucky to still have the opportunity to see this band in such a small venue, so I won't even point out the obvious injustices going on around me.
They're also playing SXSW. All tour dates below....

i agree that this album cover is not so sweet, maybe even worse than the previous album... but i love the band... thanks for the heads up on the show BV!

thanks for the link, BV. it's probably worth mentioning that while the album isn't in stores until April, you can buy it on their web site now. highly recommended.

had the opportunity to meet the album artist. WOW....talk about amazing tallent!!!! If you only knew & understood the relationship of the album art & the music. It's beyond words. Anyhow, they are beyond amazing & a band that sets the stage for what i can only hope the world embraces. it's time....tallent, values, quality...and so much more. can't wait to see them again in concert. i hear they will be back out fall of 07. you know i'll be there.
