i usually try to buy at merc box office but have a feeling this could sell out first day... did tweb raise their fees? $7.80 on top of a $32 ticket... kinda dumb.

Um, it's JARVIS. Who gives a shit about $7.80?

Well that's $40 to see Jarvis not play Pulp songs. A bit steep, if you ask me. I ended up getting a ticket after all, but I'll be going solo. I couldn't convince any friends to cough up that kind of dough.

This reminds me of seeing Billy Corgan at Webster Hall two years ago and he played well enough and long enough but people still left disappointed he didn't play a single Smashing Pumpkins song. You just want to believe the night you buy a ticket is the night Jarvis plays Pulp songs. So I bought one.

I saw him play already this year, and while I can assure you the gig is brilliant, do not hold your breath for any Pulp songs.
And who needs Pulp songs, anyway? The solo album is snarky and fantastic.

He is playing Bowie covers tho!

I got a ticket myself and I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that I am there to see the man, himself, not the fellow who used to front Pulp. He could play an evening of Oasis covers for all I care and I'd still be happy.
