Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week

This week's music release list may lack star power, but still is incredibly deep in worthwhile discs. The US release of Japanese singer-songwriter Tujiko Noriko's Solo tops my list, along with singles by the Knife and M Ward. Other highly recommended discs include Asobi Seksu's Spaceland Presents: At the Echo October 6th, 2006, the Black Lips' Valientes Del Mundo Neuva, Elvis Perkins' Ash Wednesday, Explosions In The Sky's All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone, Jesu's Conqueror, and Southern Culture on the Skids' Countrypolitan Favorites.

What new releases are you picking up this week (or can recommend)?

For hip parents, the Rockabye Baby series has added Lullaby Renditions of Nine Inch Nails, Lullaby Renditions of No Doubt, and Lullaby Renditions of Smashing Pumpkins.

The Jill Cunniff record has been pleasantly surprising thus far... if I have nothing going on, I'm going to try and hit that Mercury show.

Agree with the above poster... K-Os' new album is pretty damn fine.

I've been listening to the debut from The Four Level called "Stars from Aircraft" (out today), and am really digging it thus far. Not digging the Rakes so much... at all. Haven't heard the Fu Manchu record yet, but would like to.
