hahaha...well I've only been to studio B once shortly after it opened, and it was absolutely dead (maybe 8 people total)...on a Friday night...at 11 p.m.
But the space looked awesome...I'm sure the shows there are a lot of fun, and it seems like the perfect space for LCD (well, other than some random condemned loft space off Kent Ave., but those days are long gone)
It's a short hike from any subways, and at night it gets kind of deserted...but it's not terribly far from the bedford ave. L, where there's plenty of bars to peruse.

I went to the Soulwax show at Studio B last fall. It was sick! The venue is perfect for DJ's and electronic dance music...

Studio B is an awesome venue for LCD. Last time I was there for a DFA party they had free open bar for two hours. Also capacity is only like 500.

Studio B is owned by a scumbag. don't support this place!

Most venues are owned by scumbags

that's why you should not support the ones that are.
most indie-type venues are not owned by scumbags.
the guy who owns studio B is actually a real crook- I'm not talking about the typical complaints about venue owners.

explain why he is a real crook please.

Studio B is awesome. Saw Klaxons and Patrick Wolf there. Perfect venue for dance music. At Klaxons there wasn't a dry t-shirt in the house.

yeah i'd like to know about the crook part too. there is more than one owner first of all and they treat their employees at their 3 new york establishments very well as far as i know. and i definitely can't get a $5 bud in some city club with a shitty soundsystem and nazi door people
