Remember when Devendra Banhart played for Karl Lagerfeld ? (way before Devendra played for David Byrne.) Devendra then went on to contribute to two of Karl's projects - a CD/book thing and a 2-disk CD that also includes tracks by LCD Soundsytem, The Pipettes, Fiery Furnaces, The Fall, The Boy Least Likely To, The Bell Orchestre, Matmos, Caribou, Joakim, and others.

And remember how Chan Marshall aka Cat Power met Karl Lagerfeld and then became the face of Chanel? Gorilla Vs Bear points us to some pictures:

those cat power pics are cute but you should def check out the other part of GVB's post where we posts a new track from new Great Lake Swimmers. they make me want to melt. start listening, what you have on now is prob worse than them.
