I wish they would play Randalls Island *AND* have a decent headliner. I would pay $$$ for that to happen. I refuse to go out to NJ or LI.

Well, depends on what kind of hoops you have to go through to get them. Signing up for like a two year deal with sprint per ticket would suck however.

What was that concert with the Foo's last summer at Randall's Island that was 'free' that nobody really showed up for?

Theres always a catch..especially if Sharon is involved..you probably have to buy like $100 worth of merchandise from one of the sponsors or something...

yea, the last free concert i went to turned 500 other people with free tickets away at the door. i'm betting there is some limited supply of lawn tickets that are "free", and are more trouble than they're worth. i'll probably pay for seats again this year, that's were none of the action is :)

I'll believe it when I'm actually there, in a really weak mosh pit in baggy black denim shorts, clunky boots, and wallet chain.

...and price of bottled water: $50

Maybe Morrissy can sponsor it. They can name it Mozzfest. Or Jay-Z can help foot the bill in which case they can call it Nozzfest.

I am reminded of the Dennis Miller bit where he calls out a deal at K-Mart: "Two short-sleeved suits - buy one, get one free!"

Two of shit is still shit.

Who Cares?

"Who Cares?"

Awwww, what happened, your favorite hipster bands don't play at Ozzfest? Indie-rock sheep are so predictable, they only listen to what blogs tell them to listen to.

It's pretty funny that you can go to Ozzfest for free and can pay to perform at it.
