myspace, all ages and new jersey...not going to be pretty, but i'll be there regardless.
Posted by Anonymous | February 9, 2007 12:34 PM
Maxwell's is saying that it's NOT an all ages show - 18+ only.
Posted by Anonymous | February 9, 2007 12:39 PM
let's hope, but myspace has been advertising it differently.
i just want to get my drink on, people!

Maxwells now cards everybody before you even go in the front door
Those old enough to drink get a wristband

Where in the site does it say anything about the show being 18+? The only thing they have there is the poster of the show which says all-ages.

nice. lindas a 13 year old slut
Posted by Anonymous | February 9, 2007 9:09 PM
The fact is that "we" adults don't want any stinkin' kids at the show....that includes the 18-20 year olds too! :-)

This gig only matters if Jerry Fuchs is playing drums in this incarnation of the band.

he sure did.

nice. Linda's a 55 year old pot-bellied guy pretending to be a 13 year old slut on the internet.

Anyone go? How was it? Let us know....
Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2007 10:42 AM
i did. i don't have an exact set list, but it went it included:
pardon my freedom
myth takes
all my heroes are weirdos
must be the moon
heart of hearts
i want to say they played yadnus and/or dear can, but i was very intoxicated.
as above, jerry fuchs was on the drums, but there was also a second set and i think allan and john switched off, but maybe john just sang.
it was short and sweet and tight (seriously tight) and it wasn't overrun by underaged kids as expected. i was in the front and every was really into it, i don't know how the rest of the crowd was.
can't wait to see them again.

I went. It was kickass. Short, but great. They started around 6:30 and ended around 7:20.
No line to get in and no waiting out in the cold. Wasn't even excessively packed. Was just comfortably filled with serious fans that were there to party. However, the audience was noticeably young, perhaps due to it being an all-ages Myspace show.
They played a mix of new and old songs, but no Intensify or Guiliani. Don't remember the exact set list. As he did at the New Years Eve Eve show at Mercury, Nic seemed to spend more time dancing in the crowd then he did on stage. We were scolded for knowing all the words to the new songs. They ended the set with Heart of Hearts. Danced my ass off (as did everyone else that was up front) and left the place drenched in sweat. No encore. They immediately started packing up after the show and were clearly under pressure from Maxwell's to be out as quickly as possible. But as Nic said, "It's a free show!" I personally didn't care that it was short, just glad that I got something to hold me over until May.
Got some nice posters and Chili's gift certificates too, which was nice.

We got there at 6PM, and the MySpace guy at the door said the band was going at 7, so sit down and have a drink and some food. We did just that (waited at least 30 min to be served), and when we got inside the back room at 7 the show was already half over
! The 3 songs we heard were awesome, but no kudos to the MySpace dude who mis-informed us...
Posted by Jamie | February 11, 2007 7:29 PM
Oh fuck yeah dude. A Chilis gift certificate? Save me some chips and salsa.
