Sigur Ros playing Tibet House Benefit Concert (SOON)

As usual the lineup for this year's Tibet House Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall is amazing. Sigur Ros joins the regular cast of "benefit concert" characters at this 17th annual event. Other performers include host Philip Glass, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Deborah Harry, Patti Smith, Michael Stipe, and Ben Harper. Uma Thurman is listed as "honorary chair". The show is in just 12 days (Feb 26). Tickets are on sale.

Sigur Ros are also playing Carnival Centre in Miami on February 25th.

I saw Lou Reed at Warwick University the other year doing his 'Raven' thing and I also saw The Velvet Underground at Glastonbury so I seriously recommend going and seeind Mr Reed at the next oportunity. Location and funds permitting.

Have a good one.

Tibet House Concert format it usually each act gets 2-3 songs with the final song being a collaboration with the next person coming out on stage. That's how it roughly works for the majority of the concert. Consistently one of the best show in NYC every year.
See you there, again.

rescueblues was right, except Sigur Ros did not participate at all. They were the first popular act on stage. Blew through 2 quick songs, left only to return for the last few moments, but even then did not participate. Sigur Ros was definately the least exciting bit of an otherwise great show. I don't know if it was the language barrier or if they were just too cool to have fun with it, but I'd have to rank them underneath everyone else...even the weird media artist with the midi violin.
