The Bird & The Bee (Greg Kurstin & Inara George) have some really great songs, but I'm not that into the whole new self-titled album. I still want to see them live though - especially at a place like Joe's Pub, where, unlike Keren Ann, they are playing very soon. They're also playing Maxwell's and Mercury Lounge and some other places.

You know, I saw Inara open for someone (Decemberists?) a few years back, and she wasn't bad, but I'm really hating the songs I'm hearing from The Bird and The Bee. Not dislike, but rather a real abiding hatred. Not sure why.

these guys have played the bowery a few times, and i always really enjoy the show. i dig the songs, and i like the new album. very chill, pleasant, happy....
