Seating at a Stooges show? The Roseland show was great. Who fucked up the booking?

Anyone know when the tickets go on sale?
Posted by Anonymous | February 9, 2007 11:04 AM
THANK GOD THEY ARE NOT PLAYING WEBSTER HALL AT LEAST....
Posted by Anonymous | February 9, 2007 11:47 AM
Why does Webster Hall suck? I don't like it but I think it is only because people tell me it is a horrible venue.
Posted by Anonymous | February 9, 2007 11:50 AM
personally i just think that the sound sucks at webster.

I do not like Webster Hall, but I would still prefer it over any seated venue. It is promoted by Bowery Presents and they don't have a big enough GA venue. The Stooges should have found a different booker. Roseland sucks, but the concert was still great and is still much better the any seated venue.

the sound only sucks if you stand under the overhangs or in the back at webster.
don't be such a pussy and stand in the middle somewhat toward the front....you'll be just fine

seats and no alcohol is how i like my iggy- yar right
Posted by donnie dinko | February 9, 2007 12:15 PM
No alcohol?!? Faraway location, seats, iffy new song and now no alcohol?
Sorry, I'll pass.

Anonymous and others are right - who fucked up the venue booking? The Roseland show a few years ago was prime Iggy - he left the stage, climbed on VIP section tables, overturned drinks, etc...
how's that gonna happen at United Palace?

This is how a Stooges show should look:

Seating does seem wierd for an Iggy show, but I 'm going no matter what. Tickets are on sale for Boston now, when are the NY tickets going on sale and thru which company ?

Holy shit. I'm totally going and calling the ambulance to stand by in case these guys die of old age.

Pre-sale went at 10 this morning. (Pre-sale Sold out already)
The tickets I got say Orch (P1) Seats say G. I am wondering if I am in Row G, or if it is General Admission.
If anyone figures this out, please let me know.

They are from Detroit. So when are these #$&*s going to get to Chicago?!!!!

According to Time Out tickets range from $30 to $50. He was great at Irving Plaza, Roseland is the worst sound (unless it's set up in the round which they hardly ever do - anyone remember P.I.L.?) and the best hall for sound and vision is still Bowery Ballroom.

My friend John saw the show in Detroit said it was great. He
saw the Stooges back in the sixties in Detroit when they first started out......I saw them for the Raw Power tour in 1970 when Iggy was at one of the most insane points in his life. I will never ever forget that show. As far as them being old, well....so am I
and I don't *^$king care. I'll be playing Stooges and Pistols at
the rest home in about forty years.

Listen up. When you insult the Stooges you really have no idea about what they represent. So shake your little cocks and rock on.

Tour New Zealand? You do know that Ron Asheton is dead, right?
Posted by Anonymous | May 12, 2009 8:37 AM
"You do know that Ron Asheton is dead, right?"
Iggy can play Ron's parts, or they can always rehire James Williamson and do the entire Raw Power album that they had to ignore when Ron was in the band. Ron was great but for my money NOBODY has ever played more balls-out shredded rock guitar than Williamson did on Raw Power, Kill City, and the "I'm Sick Of You" EP. Sorry Ron, but you couldn't carry Williamson's guitar strap, though you did play great bass on Raw Power. But while Iggy could easily replicate Ron's playing, there's no way he could come close to Williamson's crazed genius.

I'm pretty sure 5/12 9:15 AM meant a torrent, 10:29.

"I'm pretty sure 5/12 9:15 AM meant a torrent, 10:29."
I know. My response was meant to be snarky comment about not stealing music. Don't be an ass looking to download albums.
