Of all the bands on this list, Under Byen is by far the most unique and Scandinavian sounding. Miss this one and prepare to be ridiculed for the rest of the year by everyone who was smart enough to attend.

Denmark The Kissaway Trail is incredibly promising. Nobody does epic melancholy pop like the Scandinavians.

Denmark They used to sound like Refused, but have since refined their sound to be one of the best forward-thinking, melodic post-hardcore bands on the planet. VERY recommended. It's just too bad Lack cancelled their scheduled SXSW appearance.

PowerSolo is playing again tonight at Pianos with Moi Caprice (another band from Denmark, who were really good last night at Union Hall).

check out junior senior...might be campy to some, but one of the best shows i've seen

I was lucky enough to see Under Byen twice...albums are OK, but it's their live show that really shines. I can't wait to see Mew at Irving as well.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Funky Nashville is all that bad. I just checked out their MySpace page, and I wouldn't call it awful.
It's got a little bit of a Chris Isaak vibe to it.

Also, Finland isn't really Scandinavia. Norway, Sweden and Denmark are the three Scandinavian countries. Finland has a similar flag scheme, but most people will say that Finland is not part of Scandinavia.
