she is getting real big now so defintely a lot of people want tickets. however, i think that scalpers saw how much tickets to her last 2 shows were going for on craigslist and decided to just buy them out. dont be suprised to see hundreds of tickets for sale

I think the capacity is uncertain at this point. I know some blogs mentioned 800 and 700, but they seemed like speculation to me. Can anyone here confirm the capacity?

Maybe they were bad booking decisions, but I doubt Greyboy Allstars, Disco Biscuits, and Ojos de Brujo can all fill up an 800-capacity venue two nights in a row at those prices.

Scalpers will always be a factor, but I very much doubt that there will be hundreds of tickets. If there were, you might actually be in luck because then they would not go for very high prices. The Shins show last night was sold out for a long time, but since so many scalpers bought them ahead of time, they were having a hard time selling them.

I didn't realize how popular she has gotten. And if you think this sold out because scalpers bought them all and the market is flooded, you are totally wrong. I'm having a near impossible time getting tickets.

trust me, it is scalpers. you are having trouble finding tickets right now because they havent shipped the tickets yet as they just went on sale yesterday. once the scalpers have the hard tickets in their hand i can guarentee you that there will be TONS for sale at $75-100 a piece

you fools paying these scalper prices and ebay prices are the reason they can do this. If you did not pay these prices these guys would not be able to sell them until the day of the show outside the venue and they would have to drastically reduce their price
Trust me on the night of the show you will be able to buy tickets outside for maybe a lil over face. It is an 800 seat venue. There will be plenty of tickets avail day and night of show. For places like irving and bowery and mercury it gets a lil trickier since it is so small but only for really special shows ie pearl jam etc.....other shows there you can get in for less than face value even for sold out shows.
Plus most ticketweb venues have been putting extra tickets on sale day of show or day before show regularly these days. Hell, for her bowery show they put extra tickets on sale for a half hour that day and still sold some tickets to people at the door night of the show. Let's also not forget Arcade Fire the so called "hardest ticket" to get this year. What a joke, if you stood outside on line for 2 hours any of those days you got in.

Luckily i do not need to see this show as i just saw her at bowery but i can tell you that if you pay some crazy ridiculous price you are nuts...yes she puts on a great show but she doesnt even play an hour..more like 45-50 mins.......

The new 700-person venue is inspired by the HighLine Park, which is scheduled to open in 2008 one block away.
