"The enormous trek-- which culminates with an insane seven nights at NYC's Town Hall-- has Conor and new core bandmates Mike Mogis and Nate Wolcott visiting larger venues and numerous cities skipped over on the present jaunt, all to preach the good word of Cassadaga, out April 10 on Def Jam. when will those impossible to get tix go on sale?

Posted by A bo B | March 6, 2007 1:51 PM

sufjan only did 3 shows. what an ego trip after selling 2 bowery shows out so fast. think this'll sell out? will conor wear wings?

Posted by tom | March 6, 2007 1:52 PM

bright eyes is so annoyingly bad. 7 Nights....annoying and unneeded.

Posted by Erin | March 6, 2007 1:53 PM

Random Bright Eyes bashing is so fall 2004… come up with an original thought or zip it.

turnaround bright eyes

I may not like his music, but DAMN I applaud any indie band having the chutzpah to play (and probably sell out) multiple nights at the same venue. Could CYHSY sell out 7 nights at Town Hall? I think not!!!

erin's comment is so annoying and unneeded

The shows will sell out. Maybe not in 10 minutes like the Bowery shoes. But Conor has the kind of fans who will buy a ticket for each night.

Personally, I don't love Town Hall (too impersonal) so I'm not even sure it will be worth it, although I am a fan.

considering how rabid his fans are, i wouldn't be surprised if these sell out with just the same people going to all seven shows.

i don't really get the love though. he's not bad, just really, really irritating.

from saddle creek...
"Bright Eyes has a US tour planned for April 22 through June 1! Pre-sale tickets for all shows will go on sale this Saturday, March 10. Check here for pre-sale ticket information. The general public on-sales for most shows will be on March 17. Stay tuned to the saddle creek tours page for updates and ticket links."

The 'here' link is to www.thisisbrighteyes.com

Posted by MJ | March 6, 2007 2:15 PM

looks like gillian welch will be the opener for all the shows according to the saddle creek website.

i just saw him last night at the 9:30 for the first time. im quite excited about seeing him in NYC...possibly twice more if all goes well :P

Whatevs, Conor

Posted by j | March 6, 2007 10:11 PM

uhh theres 7 nyc shows.. philly just got relocated!

Posted by Anonymous | March 6, 2007 11:21 PM

I've heard about him...lol well I'd hope I woudl have by now...anyway...And sort of listened to him, hes OKAY and nothing more, IMO. Can he really sell out 7 shows? That seems highly impossible.

Posted by A different erin | March 7, 2007 12:04 AM

I saw this morning on Webster Hall's website that the official on-sale is Friday, March 16th at noon for all the Town Hall dates. I'm assuming on Ticketmaster.

Posted by brian-nyc | March 7, 2007 9:46 AM

emailed SC and his booking agent, irate over the philly snub -- actually received replies fairly promptly:

SC: philly didn't work date-wise (seriously!??)

booking: vague answer about Conor having asked to avoid all LiveNation venues (which leaves almost ALL philly venues, by my count)

both hint at a possible show after this tour, which the main indie promoter in philly (R5) also alluded to.

so I guess I'll see you guys up there; real question now is which night? (first, mid-point, last... think I saw the 2nd of the 5 nights at Webster in '05.)

dont waste your time blabbing about how much you dont like conors music. everybody has different opinions, and i am disappointed with negative ones.

Posted by ally | March 8, 2007 3:45 PM

he sold out five dates at town hall in jan. '05, five dates at webster in may '05. of course all seven will sell out.

Posted by meghan | March 8, 2007 8:22 PM

I can't find any information other than what's here on the presale. What site are the tickets being sold at on March 10? Is there a password? I missed out on the last New York show and I need to find tickets for one of the 7 lol. Any information helps.

Posted by cara | March 9, 2007 12:44 AM

i believe it was only two nights at town hall in jan '05. pretty certain of that. and i remember buying my tix for one of the nights about a week or so before the show so it took a while to sell out back then.

Posted by town hall | March 9, 2007 7:30 AM

Does anybody know the password for the presale? thanks!

Posted by Carling | March 10, 2007 12:02 AM

the email said "brakeman" for the password but it doesnt seem to be working...

Posted by MBF | March 10, 2007 8:52 AM

nevermind, it said 12pm westcoast time, 3pm eastern

Posted by MBF | March 10, 2007 8:55 AM

What site can you purchase tickets from???

Posted by E | March 10, 2007 9:53 AM

wow, only Milwaukee is available, at present -- WTF?

Posted by Gary | March 10, 2007 2:54 PM

3:10 site is down. the pw indeed worked, albeit from 3:05 - 3:10.

Posted by Gary | March 10, 2007 3:04 PM

Anybody see Town Hall yet?

Posted by Anonymous | March 10, 2007 3:06 PM

I got the same thing...the minute the password started working I got in, but only Mikwaukee was on the screen...lets see how long it takes them to fix the site...don't you just lurve presales :)

Nothing will go on sale until then, we apologize for the delay but need to make sure there are no mistakes before you start to purchase tickets. Very sorry and we appreciate your patience!

Posted by MBF | March 10, 2007 4:48 PM

These guys really have there act together. Their last presale (Bowery Show) was the biggest nightmare I've ever experienced. You kept entering the password and nothing happenned, turns out it was the wrong link, they had wrong URL for the presale and no password was needed. Then I finally figure out what was going on was able to order tix, they waited till 5 days before the show to mail out tickets. I got mine 36 hours before the show. They're a bunch of stoned 23yr olds trying to run a business. Conor should have stuck with ducatking.

Posted by Anonymous | March 10, 2007 5:48 PM

For those of you who don't know presale tickets are mailed 99% of the time a week or at least two days before the show. I don't really understand the point of that, but I've always received my tickets on time. Maybe it is to stop scammers. Whatever the reaosn is, be thankful there is even one.

Posted by MBF | March 11, 2007 2:53 PM

town hall is not up yet. anyone else?

nah i dont see any ny dates either.

i got in but town hall isnt up

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 2:55 PM

The only tix on sale are Milwaukee to Tampa, mid May. No NYC shows.
weird.

Posted by elsweiser | March 11, 2007 3:02 PM

5/26 & 6/1

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:04 PM

5/29

Posted by alg | March 11, 2007 3:06 PM

They could have at least let us know that Town Hall wouldn't be included so that we didn't have to waste our time....2 days in a row!

Posted by treece | March 11, 2007 3:07 PM

was Town Hall supposed to be included in the pre-sale?

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:10 PM

I just assumed that it would be all of the dates on the tour. Why wouldn't it be? Although Town Hall is not the only place not showing up. Anything after 5/16 is unavailable.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:14 PM

they should've just put the town hall presale at it's own time so it would'nt be bothered with all the other traffic to the site.

would think they would know better, especially after yesterday's fiasco.

and i bet over half of the traffic there is for these town hall dates.

what a disaster this is!

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:20 PM

Send your disappointed emails to tickets@thisisbrighteyes.com.
I told them that they owe NY fans an apology, at the very least. This has been two hours of my weekend already.

Posted by sternj | March 11, 2007 3:22 PM

does anyone have a clue what's going on here? how long are you going to wait?

It's going to be pushed again, probably. What do no Bright Eyes fans have jobs? I do!

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:35 PM

they just added a 5/17 show. maybe we will get tickets today... err.

Posted by daniella | March 11, 2007 3:40 PM

no jobs and no lives, i guess that's what they think of us - sacrifice all for Bright Eyes

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:41 PM

hmm, i don't get the 17th show. and i resigned in and everything

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:44 PM

oh there it is.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:45 PM

I noticed that they just added the Orlando show.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 3:52 PM

may 13 austin show just added

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 4:42 PM

may 18 atlanta just added

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 4:59 PM

Has there been any message saying Town Hall dates won't be included? Or are we just going by the fact they're not there? I agree 100% with whoever say the NY fans deserve an apology. I've been checking the site every half hour or so to see if anything changed.

Posted by cara | March 11, 2007 5:58 PM

they haven't been communicating with anyone at all, and never said Town Hall wouldn't be included. but since shows keep getting added, the Town Hall dates could possibly go up later tonight.

Posted by daniella | March 11, 2007 6:08 PM

I have been on and off the computer/site and still no NY Tix listed. I just want to know if I should give up yet. I would hate to walk away after all this time in only to find out they posted!!!

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 7:46 PM

What is it with this cheap as shit budget ticket selling website? I'm no lover of ticketmaster and all of them, but, jeez, at least they work. I think I would rather pay a higher fee and have it take 5 minutes, rather than waste my weekend popping on and off the internet for this thing. Note to Conor: its not all about you - spend a few bucks and do it right.

Posted by Juan | March 11, 2007 8:21 PM

Someone try to convince me to just wait it out for the sale with the "regular" people next week! Ticketmaster fees look like a good deal at this point...bring on the overcharges and give me back the lost hours of my life! LOL

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 9:22 PM

I just passed an incensed straightforward email to info@ravenshouseltd. Everyone on this site should do the same. Let them know how unacceptable this behavior (and lack of information) has been.

Good idea about the complaints. The pre sale website also gives this address: tickets@thisisbrighteyes.com

Posted by Juan | March 11, 2007 9:32 PM

Keep the complaints rolling in to those two sites. Hopefully B.E. management will take our side, fix the problem, and ensure we get our presale before the 17th.

Posted by sternj | March 11, 2007 9:56 PM

Thisisbrighteyes.com employee #1: Dude, this new bud is the shit.

Thisisbrighteyes.com employee #2: Absolutely. I haven't been this high since Conor played in Cali, and his fans hooked our shit up.

Thisisbrighteyes.com employee #1: He played Cali this week.

Thisisbrighteyes.com employee #2: Exactly.

Thisisbrighteyes.com employee #1: I'm just pumped we got the presale up after yesterdays nightmare, I was like totally stressed.

Thisbrighteyes.com employee #2: Word.... Dude, did you know anything about Conor playing NY again? We're like getting bombarded about some "town hall" thing via the electronic mail. Peeps are going on about 7 shows in May.

Thisbrighteyes.com employee #1: Dude they're pulling your pud. Town Hall's a venue that holds like 1200 people, Conor wouldn't do 7 nights there. Pleeeese. Now stop bogarting the bong and relax my brother.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2007 10:04 PM

Thisisbrighteyes.com employee #2: But I like it when they pull my pud. Saves me the trouble.

Thisisbrighteyes.com employee #1: More complaints are coming in. I can't take the stress. Enough already. And I thought cleaning the swedish meatball plates at the Ikea restaurant tied my stomach in knots.

Thisisbrightyese.com employee#2 Agreed. This is too much, being mocked like this. Conor should write a song about our miserable lives. Lets fuck up a few more of the presales. First New York, now, THE WORLD

Posted by Juan | March 11, 2007 10:44 PM

anyone get a response about when theyre going up??

Posted by Anonymous | March 12, 2007 11:28 AM

i got some responses from both mngt and the company hosting the presale (shopify.com) over the wknd but neither were really of that much help. The guy at shopify that was emailing me was saying he knew of no problems... ha. then i emailed him the 40 page+ thread of complaints from the saddle creek board and no response...

Posted by tix | March 12, 2007 12:47 PM

I have alrady spent so much time looking into buying these tickets. It is really frustrating and makes me angry!

Posted by Anonymous | March 12, 2007 2:41 PM

Posted by Sarah | March 13, 2007 9:10 AM

Town Hall presale is up.

Posted by Sarah | March 13, 2007 9:13 AM

i cannot believe this. did anyone get any feedback as to when they were going to put them up ?

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 10:25 AM

nope, just checked it when i got to work around 845, and they were all up. no warning or advance notice.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 10:28 AM

saturday 6/1 sold out already.
how do you know where your seats are?

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 10:31 AM

i can't even get the page to load.

Posted by elswieser | March 13, 2007 10:38 AM

i got tickets for 2 of the shows, neither had any indication where the seats are. but theyre getting mailed soon, so just have to wait till then i guess.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 10:44 AM

i believe the tix are assigned according to what time you placed your order. whether it means good seats i guess is up to the powers that be. hopefully it means that the best seats will go through the presale.

also, i think the tickets will be mailed 2 weeks before the show, so i wouldn't count on them being mailed out any time soon...

Posted by Qbertplaya | March 13, 2007 11:19 AM

The page hasn't loaded all day for me.
Anyone else with this problem?

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 11:47 AM

I checked the site at 1:45am and saw that the NYC presale was up and running.

Just curious if anyone knows when it went up? Did anyone see it up prior to that time?

Posted by anon | March 13, 2007 12:31 PM

works fine for me, has been all day. only mon, tues and wed left.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 12:31 PM

noticed it at around 845, and they were all still available, so couldnt have been up for too long then.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 12:35 PM

oops, i thought you meant 1145 this morning not 145 last night. i noticed early this morning..

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 12:37 PM

do you think its still possible to get tix for the last nite 'regular' sale?

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 12:48 PM

Anybody have any insight as to how we find out where the hell our tickets are? Kinda weird that we'll get the tix a few days before the show and then find out where they are. What if they suck, we'll have no time to find alternatives.

I've been bitching about their presale and website all week, but I have to give props for ULTRA LOW (non-existent) fees. These will be significantly more expensive on TM.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 1:34 PM

I have a feeling theyre not gonna answer any e-mails for quite some time since theyre probably getting a million of them - and telling people where their seats are would be at the bottom of their priorities at this point. give it a week, week and a half, then email and ask. seems like a good idea.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 2:26 PM

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 4:46 PM

only a certain amount were released for the presale, none of the shows are completely sold out, just the set amount of presale tickets. the regular on sale hasnt even happened yet. no worries. well, some worries, but ya know.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 5:00 PM

This really annoys me that there was no notice before these went up. I was at work, got home at 4-ish, looked on the site, and EVERYTHING was sold out. If they weren't planning to put all the tickets up at once, they should have said so. They really screwed a lot of NY fans over.

Posted by cara Lane | March 13, 2007 6:39 PM

i love people who complain about presales.. its a favor to fans in the first place - no crazyily expensive fees, and good seats. if you missed it, oh well. got them, you got lucky. relax. in case no ones heard, tickets go on sale saturday.

Posted by Anonymous | March 13, 2007 7:06 PM

Anonymous, what are you talking about? "I love people who complain about presales"... haha. Yes, the pre sale is a favor to fans. But, handling it poorly sucks. Treating your fans unfairly by stringing them along for days with no notice or poor notice as to what is going on...sucks. And, selling presale tickets with no choice as to the seats and whether to accept or reject them, sucks. This presale was handled poorly from beginning to end.

Hey..its like...if I agree to pick up a friend at the airport and I show up, its great. If I offer to pick him up and then don't show, and make him wait with the suitcase out in the rain for 2 hours, calling me on his cell, wondering whether I'll show or if he should bag it and take a taxi...well, that sucks. And that's what happened here.

Posted by Juan | March 13, 2007 10:22 PM

What time did his flight arrive?

Posted by froggy | March 13, 2007 11:48 PM

so, i missed the presale.

and i keep seeing two different on sale dates.

is it the 16th or the 17th?

i dont think that all seven shows will sell out in a day but i dont want to take any chances either.

i can't believe that just last year i saw them in jersey city and got my tickets no problem the week before the show. they didn't sell out until the day of.

Does anyone know when and where the official sale will start for NY tickets? Still not on Ticketmaster, although Town Hall's Box Office recording says Ticketmaster will have them.

so anyone know why the thisisbrighteyes.com site says tickets go on sale at 10? Its a link to ticketmaster which starts at 12... even if it were pacific time it'd be off. unless it's mountain time, but why the hell would they have that and not label it?

tickets are onsale now.

Thisisbrighteyes.com always posts misinformation.

I got good seats in row d in the orchestra for the last night...i wonder how long it will take for all the shows to sell out.

i'm actually pretty happy now that i just gave up on the pre-sale since town hall has started doing ticketfast and you dont have to worry about where and when you are getting the tickets.
