Har Mar Superstar @ the Fader Fort (SXSW)
Fader hosted their usual impressive series of day shows at SXSW this year. The Western themed venue was called the Fader Fort, and it had tons of (mostly sponsored) rooms and pasageways that you could get lost in before letting out into a huge courtyard where the bands and DJs were playing. There was even an almost-naked, but not-a-cowboy hipster mascot....

i stood next to har mar, amanda blank and spank rock at the fader fort during bonde do role's amazing set. one of the many random surreal sxsw moments.

Oudemia took the words right out of my mouth. Let's see if some of the menfolk commenting on the Beth Ditto entry will venture over here and lambast Har Mar for taxing the US Health Care system.
Funny enough, the first time I saw the Gossip live was in 2002 when they were opening for Har Mar.

While I don't disagree with the idea, you have to admit the difference in obeseity between Mar and Ditto is pretty distinct.

We had a rather interesting conversation with Mr. HarMar on the streets of Austin. He told us that he started the day wearing only underwear and carrying all his essentials in a trashbag which was basically hotel keys, phone, and some coke. He wanted to see how much free stuff he can pick up just walking around SXSW. By the time we talked to him he seemed pretty well clothed.
