Hold Steady on Paste

NYU students are lucky - they'll get to see The Hold Steady & The Thermals together on April 26th. The Hold Steady are also now confirmed for an appearance (one Bruce Springsteen song) at Carnegie Hall on April 5th.

Hold Steady Dude, time to pick between prose or songs. Congrats on the record for most syllables crammed into a measure. I knew I had a drinking problem when I went to see these guys and bought an album.

only a magazine as lame as paste would put a band as lame as the hold steady on the cover.

We would anyone artistic support a neighborhood destroying force like NYU?

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 2:34 PM

the hold steady arent artistic

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 2:39 PM

funny. the hold steady played a show just for columbia students last summer. guess they like playing for the elite college crowd.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 3:09 PM

Of course, they want to sell their albums.

Posted by Eduardo | March 31, 2007 4:27 PM

elite? no no, this be at NYU.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 4:30 PM

The only thing elite about NYU is the bank account of the weschester living parents.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 4:43 PM

funny how people stay bitter ten years after they got denied admission.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 5:07 PM

I didn't realize NYU actually turned people away. other than the obvious filter: the price tag.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 5:36 PM

well, i'm at columbia right now.

suck it, hipsters. and nyu.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 6:25 PM

worst discussion, ever.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 7:09 PM

doesnt this discussion occur every time a show at nyu is posted?

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 7:13 PM

ok, worst discussion since last post nyu was mentioned then.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 7:36 PM

be quiet. you new school hipsters couldn't even get into nyu.

Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 11:09 PM

this springsteen tribute looks amazing...wish it wasn't sold out!

Posted by maria | April 1, 2007 3:25 AM

hahaha new school?
try state school. and many of us got into NYU with scholarship but our free-rides elsewhere were a bit more appealing.

Posted by nyu hater pt 2 | April 1, 2007 1:32 PM

I am not quite sure which part of this thread was more predictable. Was it all The Hold Steady sucks posts? Was it the NYU bashing? I hope there are some tickets for the show held at the door for the general public. It's a great double bill.
