"Popper, 39, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 90 near the Spokane/Lincoln county line, the Washington State Patrol said. Inside the black Mercedes SUV, officers found a cache of weapons and a small amount of marijuana." [Billboard]

Guess he replaced cheeseburgers with guns. He shoulda just stayed fat.

The weapons thing is really weird...but if he's just likes to collect guns, then so be it (do you really need them in your car?). He had some weed on him...who doesn't?

While I am excited to hear all the jokes out of this one, let's be honest: Popper isn't a gangster, or even a wannabe gangster. I feel like this is a wrong place/wrong time kinda deal.

"He had some weed on him...who doesn't?"

best thing i've read all day.

"He had some weed on him...who doesn't?"

I don't. Can anyone help me out? Been looking for 7 weeks now...

p.s. the above was a joke, nobody's that stupid

this is not the first time for Popper. He used to live in the NJ/PA area and he's always said to be a big gun guy.

he got busted in PA once before drugs and guns.

Being he started the HORDE tour, not suprised about the pot, but who cares.

Yeah, who needs to keep guns in the car in secret places, who is he Puffy?

who doesn't have a gun in their car these days? Do i need to remind everyone - we're fighting a war right now?

You should at the very least carry a large buck knife, or perhaps a butterfly knife if that's all you can muster.

Um, me, and pretty much everyone else I know? Because there's a war on??? Oh please, we face way more danger from scary people like you.

I prefer nunchucks

MD,
your apparent inability to detect even the most heavily applied sarcasm is scary.

Posted by d | March 8, 2007 2:19 PM

Joke's on you MD...cmon now, you're better than that (e-butt slap)

Posted by Drugs Delaney | March 8, 2007 2:19 PM

Sigh...fine....Imadork.

Posted by MD | March 8, 2007 3:43 PM

thank you for properly deciphering my cryptic post.

I leave you now to go and buy a new quiver of arrows (bear tipped!)

weapons found in the car:

"four rifles, nine handguns and a switchblade knife. Authorities also found a Taser and night vision goggles"

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2007 5:46 PM

ok, so he was lightly armed...

Posted by NRArules! | March 8, 2007 6:13 PM

I'm suprised he has money for either of the things mentioned. Didn't he spend all his loot on getting his big ass stomach stapled?

P.S. I liked him before he got all nip tuck. I just don't believe a skinny harmonica tooting pseudo bluesman. If you are gonna play some light, jammy hippie, funk, pop type music...man up and be a fat ass. Or at least a smelly hippie...

So to sum up this rant. His pot was ok, guns...not so much.

pps...this night vision goggles were to help him find his cock in case a natural disaster cause any power outages.

Which is a cool excuse.

"weapons found in the car:

four rifles, nine handguns and a switchblade knife. Authorities also found a Taser and night vision goggles"

all of which, by the way, were deductible on his federal taxes.

Damn Musicians!

lighlty armed????

Um, me and everyone I know don't have nearly that many weapons...Oh please, we face way more danger from scary bloggers like you.

I don't know if anybody here has ever heard him interviewed (i.e. Fresh Air), but Popper is a bona fide GUN NUT...paranoid and fucked up, a la Ted Nugent.

Posted by wendy | March 9, 2007 10:09 AM

$10 says the cop, when cutting off Popper's excuses, proclaimed: "Why you wanna give me the run-around?!"

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2007 10:48 AM

I just don't get people's problem with guns. Who here trusts our government? Who here loves the police? And yet, when it boils down to it, these are just bunches of people armed to the teeth, who have the right to jack you up for money. For your protection, you see. Against all these enemies out there who hate your freedom.

But the common man? he's got a gun! What a freak!

also, shooting guns is fucking fun.

Why did someone basically repeat my initial stupid comment and then sign their name as me? Just wondering...

Posted by The first MD | March 9, 2007 11:52 AM

MD, maybe because it was sooooo stupid it was funny to repeat it!...doh!

Posted by MDforpresidnet! | March 9, 2007 12:20 PM

leave the guy alone he's only human, those of you still stuck on the fat jokes-get a life

Posted by jmon | March 9, 2007 7:52 PM

MD not human, MD machine.

Posted by Anonymous | March 10, 2007 2:15 PM

I AM THE TERMINATOR.

Posted by MD | March 11, 2007 2:45 PM

All of you are a bunch of fucking assholes with nothing better to do. None of you could ever come close to being such a good human-being as John. Fuck all of you. I will love and cherish him forever. There will always always be a place in my heart and in my life for him..

Posted by melissa | March 23, 2007 7:03 PM
