Jonah Matranga - 2007 Tour Dates (SXSW, Maxwell's)

DOWNLOAD: Jonah Matranga - How Does Life Go? (MP3) (info)

Jonah MatrangaFUN FACT: Jonah Matranga is the guy singing "And he never lies" on "Instrumental" --> Track 7 on Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor (one of my favorite albums of 2006).

Jonah is playing two solo shows at SXSW, touring, and will be in the NYC area at the beginning of April. Tickets are on sale for an April 3rd show @ Maxwell's, and there's a good chance he'll schedule some more shows while he's here.

The new 19-song compilation CD you see pictured to the left is available in Jonah's store. Check out Jonah's guest blog at So Much Silence.

I highly recommend checking out one of Jonah's performances if you haven't already, as well as the compilation. I had the honor of booking/hosting Jonah in Murfreesboro, TN, for two performances 6 or 7 years ago--classy guy, great music.

One of the first shows I saw of Jonah's was in '98 when Far opened for Incubus at the Bayou in DC. I think the next time was when Far opened for Monster Magnet.

Far was a great, great band... I saw them open for Deftones in Atlanta way back when. Both their albums are recommended, but especially "Tin Cans with Strings to You."

Hi everyone, just wann let you know that I have released JONAH MATRANGA's latest album "And" on my label in Germany also on vinyl. It took a while, but it was definitely worth waiting: The vinyl records look so beautiful! This is a limited edition of 200 orange colored vinyl and 295 black vinyl copies, as always hand numbered and delivered in a safety envelope. We have also put out IAN LOVE's solo record (you might remember him from RIVAL SCHOOLS, DIE 116 and BURN) and will release the album of HOUSE & PARISH (it's people ftom THE PROMISE RING, TEXAS IS THE REASON, THE GLORIA RECORD and THE LOVE SCENE), both records also as limited vinyl editions of course, also including bonus tracks not available anywhere else. If you are interested, please feel free to have a look at our website http://www.arcticrodeorecordings.com. Thank you.
