Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week
The Arcade Fire's sophomore album Neon Bible heads a strong music release week in the US, followed closely by US releases of the solo albums Candylion by Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys and Yours to Keep by Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. This week's other strong recommendations are !!!'s Myth Takes, Air's Pocket Symphony, Bright Eyes' Four Winds EP, the Moaners' Blackwing Yalobusha, Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3's Sex, Food, Death and Tarantulas EP, and Son Volt's The Search. If you havren't picked up Okkervil River's Black Sheep Boy yet, Jagjaguwar has collected a "definitive edition" of the disc, adding the Black Sheep Boy Appendix EP as well as some b-sides to the original album.

Isn't anyone going to mention Amon Tobin's excellent "Foley Room"?

Why shop at Best Buy at all. They are a horrible company. Might as well shop at Wal Mart.

Good call on The Last Town Chorus - they're playin an NYC release show for that album at Joe's Pub on Tuesday night. The lead girl sings and plays lap steel with delay effects... hard to describe, but amazing. I've never seen anything like it. TRUST. Also excited about the Biggie Greatest Hits release!

Why exactly is Best Buy a horrible company?

So what happens to the Amazon commissions (or whatever you call them) this month?
There's going to be a listening party or something for the new Son Volt album with Jay Farrar tomorrow on Sirius's Outlaw Country channel.

Ya, i knew the flaming would be begin on my first comment, it was simply to save you guys a couple (4 to be exact) dollars. As far as i know, isnt amazon, just like a walmart or best buy online? Anyways i would imagine purchasing rather than downloading (free) would be a secondary objective in my post.

There's always the neighborhood alternative to Amazon or best buy. Some cities do still have record stores.

By the way, I know there's a few TV on the Radio fans here... Tunde and Jaleel make an appearance on "Born Identity" by High Priest (Antipop Consortium), which came on 2/27. The song's not great, but the album is worth a listen.

Hi there,
For the new Amon Tobin album we've created an embeddable audio and video player. You can embed the player to stream audio and video directly from your site. There is also a chart on the page which will display the sites that are getting the most plays, so it promotes your site as well as the new Amon tracks!
