Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week
VIDEO STREAM: Neil Young - Live At Massey Hall trailer (.MOV)
AUDIO STREAM: The Fratellis - Flathead (.asx)
AUDIO STREAM: The View - Superstar Tradesman (.asx)
Among this week's music releases, several stand out. Neil Young's concert film, Live at Massey Hall, Rosie Thomas's These Friends Of Mine, Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs' You Can't Buy a Gun When You're Crying, and the Innocence Mission's We Walked in Song are all highly recommended. I'm putting off my weekly trip to the record store this week until I get to Austin for SXSW, but I plan to pick up the remastered edition of the Dickies' Dawn of the Dickies (for which I have), as well as Lucy Kaplansky's new album, Over the Hills.
For parents of younger children, the Rockabye Baby series adds three albums to its roster this week: Lullaby Renditions of The Beatles, Lullabye Renditions of Bjork, and Lullaby Renditions Bob Marley, and Lisa Loeb and Elizabeth Mitchell collaborate on a children's album, Catch the Moon.
What can you recommend from this week's music release list?

Wow Nakatomi Plaza. I went to college with those guys like 6 years ago and had no idea they still existed. And they still sound the exact same too. Yikes.

Very surprised there's been no mention of the new Mountaineers' records, "Messy Century", anywhere here. Seems like they'd be quite popular with the BV crowd...
Also, Muggs/GZA released a remix of their incredible "Grandmasters" album this afternoon. Bow down to the GZA.. go ahead, do it.
