Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week
Two of this week's music releases are exceptional enough to possibly end up on my year-end list of favorite albums. Andrew Bird's Armchair Apocrypha is simply amazing - missing him last week was one of my biggest disappointments at SXSW. Low's Drums and Guns is yet another stellar release from the Minnesota group. From what i've heard already, I can definitely recommend the new albums by LCD Soundsystem, Panda Bear, Rose Kemp, the Ponys, the Pierces, and Land of Talk. Modest Mouse and Ted Leo both also have new releases this week.

Am I taking crazy pills or did Devin The Dude drop a new album on Tuesday? Haven't heard a peep about it and he's gotta be one of the best rappers not signed to a major label.

New Redman single (it's okay), J Dilla "Rough Draft" is nice, Cibo Matto greatest hits you can't go wrong with, and The Locust's new one is very nice too.

Ah, that Ellen Allien curated comp is also HOT. Psyched for her performance on Saturday at Studio B.
