YAY

does anyone want to put together a group of 40 people to buy cmj badges? it looks like if you buy them in a group of 40 or more, they're only $75 each. i'm not sure when the price goes up, so it would probably have to be done soon.
perhaps someone trustworthy (read: will not scam) could set up an account whereby people mail checks at $75, and when 40 are received, they'll go ahead and purchase the badges? would anyone be up for this? (of course, better if we could figure out a way so mailed checks can't be cashed until there's confirmation that the badges are being purchased).

Looks awesome!!! Are The Sterns from Boston playing this. I think I saw on their website that they are (www.myspace.com/thesterns). If so, they're really awesome, I'm looking forward to getting their new cd when it comes out. Wish I could be there.

Sorry about the triple post, I dont know what happened

I don't think the sterns are playing this day, but im not sure. Maybe someone else could answer better. it looks like they're playing a couple dates before this one there. I'm excited about the cd too, what I've heard is amazing. I can't wait to see them when they're in New York.

Dear Justin,
next time you attempt to spam people's comments:
a) Learn to read - or at least learn to pretend read - it will make your story seem more convincing.
b) Don't link to your REAL MySpace page which talks about how you're working as an intern at a publicity company that happens to be the one that promotes the band you are pretending to like.
c) Don't then immediately come back and comment anonymously pretending to be someone else. Talking to yourself makes you look even dumber than your four previous comments already made you look.

Justin = blog campaign!!!

Were We Are Wolves introduced into the indie rock ecosystem to place a check on the untrammeled growth of Band of Horses?

justin, you're busted. now go get a job that doesn't ask you to lie publicly. you'll be much better off for it.
Posted by Anonymous | March 7, 2007 8:11 AM
According to Justin's MySpace comments, he had a going away party before hitting the City That Never Sleeps. Sorry I missed it, too.
Justin...if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere!
I'll watch for you next time you are handing out The Sterns demo tapes post-concert at Roseland.

hahaha. Justin. What a twat.
Posted by RC | March 7, 2007 10:23 AM
Besides putting on great free shows during music conferencs, one would think some music intranet thingies could put together something for purchasing badges at discounted prices.
Posted by Anonymous | March 7, 2007 11:26 AM
hahahah Justin. whoa.
im from Boston originally, and actually friendly with a bunch of The Sterns. so aside from Justin being a twatburger, check them out, they're fucking great.
weird though...
Posted by Adam | March 7, 2007 11:27 AM
Justin, go away. Calling yourself a 'twatburger' from another name is not going to help your case.
You still look like an ass.

Posted by rachel | March 7, 2007 11:59 AM
What a way to imply that Le Tigre is playing in New York :'(

What are Antibalas doing on a bill with white people? Aren't they going to feel oppressed?
Posted by Anonymous | March 7, 2007 4:09 PM
Antibalas, suprisingly, are actually the whitest sounding band on the list! No soul...
Fela would vomit if he saw them.
Posted by Anonymous | March 7, 2007 4:17 PM
Dear Justin,
My band, twatburger, really wants to make it. We would like to employ your 1 man PR machine to get things off the ground. You're such a pro.
Posted by Anonymous | March 7, 2007 4:23 PM
Someone just sent me this link... and I want to make this very clear. We over here at The Press House didn’t even hire Justin. He had one interview with us. I repeat ONE. I guess he got over eager about the band and I want to make it VERY clear that we did not and would never have any one working for us pull this crap. We LOVE Brooklyn Vegan, totally respect it, and are totally pissed about what happened today. Don't worry we made sure Justin knew how we felt, too. Sorry for any inconvenience.
The Press House
P.S. Does anyone know of any competent interns, because obviously we're looking!
Posted by Dawn | March 7, 2007 5:01 PM
Interns suck...Its a shame you can't find quality anymore. I am going through something similar at my office.
