I like Arcade Fire and enjoyed the show first night, but it's exactly because they wanted to get this kind of lame publicity and ticket buzz that they sold so few tickets. The venue was not so small after all. If they sold tickets for the full capacity ahead of time, most fans would have been able to get tickets on the Internet. I was one of the few lucky ones who were able to get tickets on that crappy ticketing site. Arcade Fire should be ashamed of the way they tricked many of their die hard fans. The night I was there a third of the place was empty even though they were still accepting walk-ins after the show started.

Have you considered that they did it that way so that the die hard fans could get in by waiting on line instead of buying overpriced tickets on Ebay?????

"Have you considered that they did it that way so that the die hard fans could get in by waiting on line instead of buying overpriced tickets on Ebay?????"
Die hard fans had no idea that they would be able to get in by waiting outside until the first show. Letting your fans wait outside in the cold without knowing for sure that they will be able to get in is no way to treat them either. If proper amount of tickets to fill capacity were released, there would not be any astronomically priced tickets on eBay. The place had 500 people capacity.

Also, Anon. 3:24PM seems to have forgotten that people who bought tickets in advance were limited to two tickets and had to show photo ID to get themselves and their guests inside, making the scalping of tickets very inconvenient.

Anon 3:52, the fact that we weren't packed like sardines made the concert better. The band wanted the shows organized in a specific way, which is well within their right. Those of us who waited outside and got in have no complaints.

that short is hilarious! we saw them video taping ans were curious what was going on...when we asked them they said it was for a student film...
as for the die hard fans not knowing they could wait outside to get tickets...that is horseshit...if you are a die hard then you probably read the us kids know message board and you would have read that they sold tickets at the door to every london and montreal show...and that all you would've had to do is get to the venue about 1 to 2 hours before doors opened and you would have gotten a ticket with no problem...
i was able to see 4 of these shows, 2 of which i was able to buy tickets at the door...even though it was freezing out, i would do it again in a heartbeat!

i love when he says "nobu next door"... so awesome!
the "play some beer pong, get naked" line is pretty good too.

Oh. I remember when they were filming this. Actually
I'm standing by the church steps in it.
Not bad. As for the shows, yeah I guess they could
have let more people online buy, but I had a really
great time meeting other fanatics in line.
Nice Mallrats tribute @ the end.
