i don't think i'd ever see another show at roseland.
possibly the worst venue in the city.

Me neither. I swored not to go there anymore even if I got a free ticket, but unless it's a band I really really like. Anyway, Roseland is the worst venue and I don't understand why bands don't know this and avoid being booked there.

i agree - when DID placebo get big enough to play roseland? i don't think they even played a venue that big when "without you i'm nothing" came out. and yes, roseland is bad. but you know what? webster hall is even WORSE. at least good bands hardly play roseland. but tons of good bands get booked at webster hall. it makes the sting that much worse.

I think they're a great band; a lot of people do. Reasonable minds may differ. (and to soup monster, a partly generic sort of response: you cared enough to read the post, and to comment about it. You could have been enjoying some soup, or reading a soup blog.)
... at least they're playing there. Because they're playing at Coachella, they aren't playing anywhere else in Southern California.
