That guy on the far left of the Thunerbirds Are Now photo is really taking the band nerd look to the next level. First the kids broke out the Buddy Holly glasses to make us understand the deep level of sensitivity they possessed. But those glasses have pretty much been co-opted by female architects and other corporate folks, so this guy's like, "No, no, no, let me show you the next generation in pussy repellent...Tah dah!"
