That "Foe Tha Love Of $" clip is a CLASSIC! The song is timeless, nothing can touch that. And as for the "Top 50 MCs of Our Time" . . . . . Rakim is not #1. He's the most influential of our time, but not the best, and how the fuck is Nas (#4) ranked higher than Jay-Z (#6) and Pac (#7)?! OK, Illmatic . . . . , but that Firm bullshit and subsequent albums almost ruined him, sans "Nas Is Like . . . ", but that was all Primo (DJ Premiere). It's ironic, but Nas was floating in "career-ETHER", when Jay-Z saved said career by dissing him. That, for me, puts Jay-Z over Nas. Big Pun (#16) ahead of Lauryn Hill (#18) and Eminem (#19)?! Sorry.

I have to agree with Eduardo and throw the question out to you, Wes, and anyone else: where is the hip-hop in 2007? MIMS & Rich Boy have been the only hits, and they do sport good production or whatever, but where are the lyricists or the dependables? I'm scared to hear the new Redman album (how could it not disappoint?). I'm looking forward to the new Chamilionaire. What else is out now or soon that's worth checking out?

some 2007 hip-hop albums I'd recommend: Black Milk 'Popular Demand', Consequence 'Don't Quit Your Day Job', Hell-Razah 'Renaissance Child', Sean Price 'Jesus Price Supastar'. All of these albums are really good listens.
Wes, don't forget KRS-One is performing at BB Kings in May.
