Hey everyone -- I got HH for united palace, but on the far left side. Anyone been there who knows what the sight lines are for that part of the venue? hoping it's not too bad. sorry if this is a double post, my browser's messing up.

I got 4 AF tix for Radio City - 3rd Mezzanine over the phone. woo hoo.
Posted by matt | March 30, 2007 10:42 AM
radio city, 3rd mezz row f 511. I've been to radio city once for the Christmas spectacular as a kid, but i've heard the place is great.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 10:42 AM
Sixty-six bucks to see Ricky Gervais do "stand-up"? Hahahahaha.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 10:43 AM
I got LL at United Palace for Arcade Fire on the Monday and row M at the same place for Bjork on the Saturday night in the pre-sale (a whopping $86 after fees...). With the Beirut gig between those two I can't wait for May.
Looking at the photos of United Palace I think the sightlines will be good from anywhere but I guess anyone going to the Bloc Party shows this weekend can fill us in.
Posted by Alex | March 30, 2007 10:44 AM
somehow i got 2 in orchestra 1 for radio city!
Posted by anon | March 30, 2007 10:45 AM
I got two Arcade Fire Tickets to the May 8 show but found out I have a conflict. If anyone wants to trade me for the May 7 or May 9 shows, let me know. If you paid for for May 9, I will cover the difference. I have second Row of the Balcony,(B) Seats 30 and 32.
email me: endemolpa@gmail.com if you want to swap.
I am willing to swap for worse seats, but they have to be together.
I am not selling the seats.

i totally forgot these shows went on sale. oh well. that's fifty bucks more for me!

I can't find an appropriate place for this, but a "tickets" topic seems ok: Are Sonic Youth bringing Daydream Nation to NYC?
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 10:47 AM
There was some dude on this site named Bill who was ranting on and on about how Arcade Fire tickets would be easy to get this time around. Well that douche of a cunt was wrong! They sold out before I could get any. SUX!
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 10:48 AM
2 tix at Radio City... 2nd mezz, row C. I guess i shouldn't be too upset considering how fast these sold out.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 10:48 AM
Got tix for all 3 AF shows...Radio City Orchestra Row K!!
Posted by ryan freshbread | March 30, 2007 10:49 AM

hey, does anyone have a link to a decent seating chart for united palace? went to the website and it's awful, you can't read the seats, and other sites on the web say "seating chart not avail". ugh. i have row G 102/104 for 5/8 show...but no idea where that is.
Posted by cat | March 30, 2007 10:51 AM
I also didn't get them, I agree we should totally blame Bill
Posted by adam | March 30, 2007 10:52 AM
I got an Upper Loge ticket to Bjork just now-it was 95-how come you could do will call for Arcade Fire but had to do that shitty UPS method for Bjork, which ups the price? And my billing address is back with my family in Austin, so I am going to have to get my brother to find the envelope and send me the ticket. Or write Ticketmaster and tell them to send it to me.
And I wanted to go to the Radio City or Apollo shows for Arcade Fire and Bjork-they are such famous venues and I have never seen them-but I am going to both shows at the United Palace...which is OK since it's near my apartment but still, would really want to see these shows in a historic venue.
But going to see both of them, so yay!

"I can't find an appropriate place for this, but a "tickets" topic seems ok: Are Sonic Youth bringing Daydream Nation to NYC?"
At the moment these are the only US dates they've announced...
07-13 Chicago, IL - Union Park (Pitchfork Music Festival/ATP Don't Look Back)
07-19 Berkeley, CA - Berkeley Community Theater
07-20 Los Angeles, CA - Greek Theatre
They're also doing three shows in London and some festivals in Europe.
I'm going to Pitchfork so I'm very happy. 3 days music including Sonic Youth, Cat Power, Grizzly Bear for a mere $45. Bargain.

I tried the pre-sale and got screwed.... was on ticketmaster at 11AM today, selected 2 tickets in the $86 range, and after 3 minutes of refreshing, it said it was sold out. So I tried again, 2 in the $86 range and BAM Orchestra 3, Row AA. First time Ticketmaster hasn't totally raped me.

I like Radio City Music Hall. I always have good luck here... For strokes and white stripes, I got front row...

At 11:00 on the dot, the best pair of Bjork tickets for United Palace was row D in the balcony (I don't know if it's center or side). So I took them. Nothing else came up for me. But at least I'm going.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 11:07 AM
could someone please tell me where "general admission" tickets are located at the united palace? they're not showing up on the seating chart. thanks.

Thank you for the seating chart, I couldn't even find the untd. palace's web site. Cheers!!!
I'm buried in the lower lodge, but I'll take it.

i got one ticket 2nd row orchestra center stage for bjork at united palace theatre and now i can't go. and it's will call only, does anyone know if they do the bowery thing where you can pass off your c.c and drivers license for someone else to get in.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 11:12 AM
why haven't any of the "new york crowds/shows suck anyway" superstars rained on this parade yet? come on guys, it's not truly an arcade fire thread without you
Posted by adam | March 30, 2007 11:14 AM
oh no, arcade fire will never play new york again!!! lets all brag about our tickets and where our actual "seats" are, and how many times we are going to see them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
who wants to go to a show and have to stand in an assigned 3'x3' area? especially for a band who thrives on energy....despite the venues being gorgeous...and the performances surely great and acoustically perfect...
they'll be back...and probably better
there are so many good shows the same days/weeks go see Blonde Redhead instead...there new album is gorgeous

yeah, I agree, good month/months for shows, good summer too don't fret about missing these for those prices...but surely it will set a mark and shows to follow will only be more, like my rent.

Best I got for Arcade Fire was Row H upper loge, better than nothing I guess. Then splurged on Ricky Gervais (tough decision, I hope I don't regret it), and while I was on a ticket spending spree, threw in some Ted Leo and Decemberists too. I think I'm set for while.

Posted by froggy | March 30, 2007 11:28 AM
anyone who did not get tix because they were taking the advice of someone 'ranting' on a messageboard is a fool. Plain and simple. You don't deserve tickets. They sold out all their shows in seconds and the NYC shows went on sale way later!!! Should have done some homework.
Have fun payin' up on Ebay, LOSER. I got my tixs when they went on sale like everyone else. duh.

usually for will call at bowery, you can sell your tickets off to someone else and give them a copy of your CC and drivers license and they can use that as admission. works all the time

I like Arcade Fire fine. I even saw them at Judson Memorial Church last month. But I don't understand why people are paying to see them in multiple venues, days apart, and in some cases even mulitple cities! They're a good band & all, but they're not THAT good! They only have 2 albums, too, so it's not like they're going to change the set-list drastically! I can see getting multiple nights for Bjork... maybe... but Arcade Fire? And with all these other show in May, it may be "amazing to say the freakin least," but I'd still rather pay my rent next month! I know different strokes for different folks. I saw Arcade Fire once last month. And I got tickets for ONE of Bjork's shows in NYC for May. That's enough for me.

I got tickets to all 3 nights of Sonic Youth in your bathtub.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 2:43 PM
i got tickets to kim gordon's pants for all five nights. ticketmaster fees sort of killed it though.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 2:44 PM
We got row D orch for radio city. no ticketmaster problems. I will urge people to use IE only because I keep seeing tm problems with firefox, especially on the mac.
Really, really appreciated the 2 ticket limit and will-call only nature of the Arcade Fire ticket sale. i really have to take my hat off to them for imposing the elaborate limits that they did.

Steve Shelley says maybe McCarren Park Pool for Daydream Nation:

Radio City is beautiful....but GIANORMOUS!
Posted by STeve | March 30, 2007 3:33 PM
I got four in Upper Loge row H for AF but the seat numbers don't exist on the chart. That would be awesome if it were far left/right orchestra.
Posted by manyhighways | March 30, 2007 3:35 PM
The Radio City Show is going to be soooo much better. Plus, supposidly Bowie will join in for a few songs at RCMH, but not United Palace.
Posted by Kelly | March 30, 2007 4:04 PM
Fucking Bowery Presents--they just moved the 11 minute Sonic Youth bathtub concert to my landlord's shower, and that place is gigantic! Plus they'll probably only play 9 minutes so that my landlord can take his nightly shower. I'm calling the box office (my own bathtub) to try and get a refund. I'm tired of this.

"The Radio City Show is going to be soooo much better. Plus, supposidly Bowie will join in for a few songs at RCMH, but not United Palace."
Or will it just be better because that's the show you got tickets for?
United Palace is smaller and I got tickets to see AF, not Bowie.
Posted by C | March 30, 2007 4:24 PM
Oh sorry, I didn't mean to sound snotty. I actually and unfortunately only have tickets to United. I just think RCMH is a better venue, bands are more stoked about playing there, and Bowie is gonna be there. I wish my tix were for that night.
Maybe I have to answer one of those craigslist ads where some loser will give a free ticket to a "hot chick." yeah riggght!
Posted by Kelly | March 30, 2007 4:43 PM
I really just want a ticket to the Arcade Fire 7 minute bathtub show. But I saw that Sonic Youth sold the bathtub out in like 11 seconds, so i guess I'm probably fucked.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 4:46 PM
p.s Kelly is a dude. lol suckas
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 4:47 PM
BOWIE BOWIE BOWIE BOWIE BORING! HOW DO YOU KNOW HE'S GONNA PLAY? I AM THINKIN MADONNA JOINING THE BAND TO PROMOTE HER NEW H&M LINE!
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 4:49 PM
Man, I saw the Arcade Fire play at The Urinal back in February. No way am I paying a higher ticket price to see them play at a bigger, seated venue like The Bathtub. You guys are suckers.
Posted by Vince | March 30, 2007 4:56 PM
There is another Klaxons show at Studio B in Williamsburg..... I wanted to let some people know. Tickets still available if anyone is interested.. Other Music 15 E. 4th St

Thanks Jon!

I'm not hauling my ass to 175th to see anyone. I don't care if the chocolate Jesus is playing---that's one pain in the ass for a huge seated venue.
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 5:34 PM
when is jellynyc announcing the bathtub parties?
Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2007 5:39 PM
I'll put a bathtub in my United Palace if y'all want. I really could use another rolls royce with a mink interior.
Thanks and Keep Coming to my Palace!

Man, I bought the first pair for Bjork RCMH at 12 on 3/30 and got THIRD MEZZ. Then I went on later and got Orch ZZ, so I bought again! Schiesse, do you think it will sell out?
Posted by Luke | March 31, 2007 9:13 AM
I got row KK (Orch) for Arcade Fire on the 8th of May. My seats are pretty far off to the right, but from looking at pictures of the palace, it looks great! I’m excited, I still can't believe I'm going to see them live!! It took 10 minutes to finally get the tickets off of ticketmaster. Really scared I was not going to get any.
Posted by Meghan | March 31, 2007 10:04 AM
3rd Row United Palace Arcade Fire
Orchestra O- Bjork RCMH
First Balc H- Bjork United Palace
Lower Mezz- Bjork Apollo Theater
Field- Daft Punk
I couldn't get ANY Bjork pre-sale tix so I have no idea how I was able to buy good tickets to all three shows in five different transactions and other people weren't able to get any. I'm sorry other people! I was so depressed on Wednesday I couldn't get pre-sale and now with Coachella, I'm seeing her four times! Sweet!
Incidentally, if I end up with extras, I'll post them in the bjork.com 4um message boards and sell them for face value. If you have extras, consider the same!
Posted by trrricky | March 31, 2007 10:55 AM
Snatched two Daft Punk tickets. I saw them at Coachella and was blown away.
Any guesses on if/when it will sell out?
Posted by unlucky ticket buyer | March 31, 2007 11:07 AM
i was on the site early, tried for two tickets to radio city- was told they were sold out- tried for two at the other place- said they were sold out. amazed there are people on here that got seats- and ridiculous ones at that- at 11:09 AM ?? obviously disappointed but what can you do. i can't pay crazy scalper prices. i won't pay crazy scalper prices. i have tried and failed to get arcade fire tickets what seems like many times now and though i obviously would love to see them in a small venue, i kinda wish they'd play one large show in the nyc area. central park for free perhaps? and no i'm not a hippie, hipster or hippopotamus- nor am i broke or particularly inept at buying tickets online... i'm just a guy on a budget - another one who got suckerpunched by funeral and now again in the gut ("ocean of noise") but hey. i get to see sean hayes at joe's pub for like twelve dollars - sean hayes like a one man arcade fire excepting that the music does not sound alike. swallows your thoughts while biting your heart

whoever thinks that seeing AF at radio city rather than a smaller seated venue is on crack. sure, the velvet seats are nice & the venue is pretty. but that means more rows in front of you, more people around you, and more people to ruin the show for you. more people to talk during the show, more people to get up for beer/popcorn/hotodog runs. i saw sigur ros there once in like row JJ and the crowd made it terrible. the only way to go is first few rows of every section, particularly the lodge.
Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2007 1:17 PM
Make sure you get field for Daft Punk, it sucks to be in the stands at Keyspan, its like a mile away... Ticketbastard still has field left, I guess it might take a couple days to sell out?

just got back from Bloc Party @ United Palace. Actually, the row doesn't matter, as long as you run at the front of the stage after the 3rd song... GREAT concert by the way
