DOWNLOAD: DNTEL - Dumb Lunck (MP3)
Among this week's new releases you'll find "Dumb Luck" by DNTEL aka Jimmy Tamborello aka James Figurine aka 50% of The Postal Service (the other 50% is Ben Gibbard).....
An album five years in the making, and Jimmy Tamborello's first for Sub Pop. Thick with his signature sampler finessing, warm electronic washes, and genius beat placement, Dumb Luck is an album lyrically as much about human distance as connection. Includes vocal contributions from Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley), Edward Droste (Grizzly Bear), Valerie Trebeljahr and Markus Acher (Lali Puna), Mia Doi Todd, Grant Olsen and Sonya Westcott (Arthur & Yu), Andrew Broder (Fog), Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), and Christopher and Jennifer Gunst (Mystic Chords Of Memory).DNTEL (in town from LA) is DJing at Union Pool in Brooklyn this Wednesday April 25th at 10:30pm. Ed Droste (part of the all star cast listed above) and Chris Bear from Grizzly Bear will be there to help him out as well.

what could he possibly do in a show?

a show would be nice - DJ sets are boring.

yeah but if he's djing it's not a live show, but you can touch him

jimmy rarely plays live, his dj sets are more frequent. and if you are thinking about going to getting blow away you are going to be sad.

btw, postal service live was amazing, so i hope jimmy does do a live DNTEL tour eventually.
from what i understand he rarely even leaves L.A., so i look forward to this dj set, even if it is the strictly ambient stuff he did for dublab.
