EG ROCKS! I saw them at SXSW twice. If you haven't seen them get to a show in your area, you won't regret it!

I can't believe ANYONE listens to this band. They sound like the fucking black crowes. Its so contrived it makes me sick. "But her afro is soooo cool...whoa"

Hey Ugh, go back to your emo collection and leave the real Rock and Roll to the big boys.
And if you're comparing them to The Black Crowes, you've probably never listened to either one.

Frixy-
L-O-L. by 'Real Rock and Roll' you must mean their "costumes" and "coincidentally" Zepplin-ish riffs. Oh-- sorry, I'll leave that to the "big boys". Also, I'm not comparing them to the Black Crowes, I'm saying motherfuckers are straight up COVERING them!
love,
Ugh.

Ugh,
Like I said, you're obviously not listening if you're still holding them up to The Black Crowes. There's nothing southern about Earl Greyhound. And I don't seem to remember any two-part harmony in The Black Crowes catalogue. Earl Greyhound have a much more crisp pop sensibility, while also possessing the ability to rock harder than The Crowes ever did.
As for your comment about "costumes", I'm sure that you find your ironic t-shirt, hoodie, and Chucks/Vans Hipster "costume" much more sophisticated. (Seriously? you're judging a band by their clothes?)
And if you think there's something wrong with taking cues from Led Zeppelin, then there's something wrong with you.

LOL.
Black Crowes.
Posted by Ugh | April 13, 2007 1:15 AM
I'll take that as an admission that you have no idea what you're talking about.

You're all stupid...
Stop fighting! Do you know what this is doing to the kids?
Jeeze, its just music.

I'm not fighting at all JG, I'm having a stimulating conversation about a band I feel passionate about. Ugh may be engaging in what he/she sees as a feeble attempt at a flame war, but I'm just expressing my love of this band and rock music in general by trying to educate a seemingly uneducated individual in the ways of this genre of music.
