The Fratellis might be the most annoying band of all time. They suck and should be compared to other crap bands like Jet and The Vines.

I saw them at Mercury Lounge on Friday. They were great! I'm def gonna see them again at Irving Plaza.

They must be good live because I've heard about ten tracks online and their stuff is just so formulaic and boring. They're talented but not very creative. They'd make a great classic rock cover band. Or the perfect track for an iTunes ad.
Maybe they're just not my style, but I think I've rarely seen this degree of unwarranted hype and would be very skeptical of any self-proclaimed fans.
Sorry to be so negative... all I ask is that you not buy tickets to this show based on hype alone. Listen to their music. And look at the post above which appropriately refers to the Vines. Do pretend this band is the Vines and save yourself the embarrasment you'll have in about a year or two if you do see them or make a big deal of them.
Do not reward this type of hype in the music industry. The boy has cried wolf too many times. Give him a reason to stop and develop some integrity.
But if you somehow do love this band, enjoy the show.

Dude, you really need to lighten up. Who cares if, god forbid, people see the iPod ad, enjoy the song, and check out the band live? I mean... it's 3 Scottish guys in an indie rock band, why are you drinking the haterade?
Seems as though you can't wrap your head around the fact that they surrended a track for an iTunes ad. So what, is "Feel Good Inc." all of a sudden a bad song because your little sister likes it? No, it's still fun, and catchy as hell, like "Flathead" is.
Nickelback, they are not. In fact, and this is just in my humble opinion, they produce fun, catchy little ditties that get the kids dancing. No need to get your panties in a twist. Sure, they're not reinventing the wheel here, just producing catchy tunes. That's it. Not all music has to be oh so profound. So Mike - remove the buttplug, stop regurgitating whatever it is you hear from Pitchfork, and lighten up. Go out, have a beer, hell have 10, and dance for once in your life. It's fun.
