Rakim & Ghostface @ Stubb's, SXSW - Mar 16, 2007 (CRED)
Rakim & Ghostface

One of the greatest lineups at SXSW was the unofficial late-night Iheartcomix party at Blue Genie - the bill was packed full of dance and hip hop acts that I would mostly be seeing for the first time. Unfortunately the party got shut down early by the police - supposedly for not having a proper permit, but I think they probably received noise complaints by fellow patrons forced to sit through a "performance" by hipster-rapper Roxy Cottontail. It was sort of a relief when the police caused her set to be cut short. What sucked was that Spank Rock, also on the bill, never got to play.

Check out this updated May 15th Highline Ballroom lineup:

** Spank Rock
** Ghostface
** Roxy Cottontail
** plus Very Special Guests!
Tickets still availble (thx miguel).

Ghostface Killah also makes an appearance on the premiere episode of Human Giant on MTV tonight (April 5th) @ 10:30. You can also download the episode for free on iTunes.

Previously
* the new HIGHLINE BALLROOM -- LOU REED playing
