Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week

The Arctic Monkeys release their sophomore effort, Favourite Worst Nightmare, this week, but most of the buzz seems to have been aimed at a pair of covers albums, Patti Smith‘s Twelve and A Tribute to Joni Mitchell.

I am definitely picking up the three Leonard Cohen remasters: Songs from a Room, Songs of Leonard Cohen, and Songs of Love and Hate.

Of the remaining discs, I can wholly recommend the Joanna Newsom EP, Bill Callahan‘s Woke On A Whaleheart, Future Clouds & Radar‘s self-titled debut, Thee More Shallows‘ Book Of Bad Breaks, and Golden Smog‘s Blood on the Slacks.
