@#@ damnit. Friday night was a late night. Saturday was a long day. I got home and slept right through karaoke...

Of Montreal performed an amazing set on Saturday at Studio B! Most tunes were from Hissing Fauna and Sunlandic Twins, but a few oldies were thrown in there. Of Montreal is a fantastic live band, never letting the beat or movement of the crowd stop. Joining them onstage was--hm, I guess you'd call him 'The Gimp' because he sure looked like he came straight from the set of Pulp Fiction. Awesome music plus some quite unique stage props made it one hell of a night.Michael Showalter was funny as ever as Alan Schemper from Wet Hot American Summer. Also, there were some guest karaoke appearances for Boston's More Than A Feeling from Paul Rudd and David Wain.

Such a good time!!
But, I must say that those were the most expensive drinks that I have ever had in Brooklyn. I wish I could have stooped to drinking the Pomtinis.
Also, I could have done without the girls who sang blister in the sun!!

show was awesome. blister in the sun girl
s SUCKED. paul rudd and david wain singing don't stop believing was the highlight of the evening. kevin barnes smeared bananas on a gimp's chest and made everyone uncomfortable.

A fantastic night! Of Montreal were fantastic!! I really enjoyed their set and the karaoke. Some very good karaoke performances (minus a few - such as the Breeders, Abba) Great host!! Of Montreal makes an awesome covers band!
