"Patrick Wolf is not quitting music. Despite his recent post on a fan message board saying, 'My final concert will be this November... I am not sure whether there will be anymore public communications after that. In fact, I am pretty sure there will be none,' it turns out Wolf just plans to take a little break from the cycle of touring and promoting records." [Pitchfork]

Wait, did anyone actually believe that we was quitting music? It seemed clear from the outset that this was just another passing hissy fit.

I'm actually more curious if the bleeding drummer is planning any more shows soon.

There's a short stocky obese kid with sparce facial hair and glasses that is in my drawing class. Our final assignment is to bring in a photo to draw. On arriving and sitting down I noticed him take out a small photo. Of fucking Patrick Wolf...
This photo actually

It made me laugh. Especially since all of the commotion about Patrick recently. After looking at this kid you would never think he'd be into Patrick. But you can't read a book by it's cover. Oh, and at the bottom of the picture he had written Patrick with a drawing of a heart next to it. I love people

Wait, that's pretty funny, but are you making fun of the fact that he's fat, ugly or gay? Cause that's like the trinity of funny, innit? I love people too. Especially assholes like you....

Posted by FatUglyGayBoyInYourGayArtClass | April 27, 2007 3:48 PM

I guess you could call me an asshole for saying that, but after reading that, I guess I kinda am? I found that funny. It was unexpected, ya know? By the way, I have lived in San Francisco for the past five years or so. I'm pretty openminded towards everything. People get way to serious nowadays.Plus um, what does that say, fatuglygayboyinyourgayartclass? I never said he was gay, or ugly, you assumed both of those by the way I described them, therefore saying a hell of a lot more about you, then about me.

let's analyze the components of Justin's primo story and assess their sum Funny-Quotient.

1. Shorties = funny.

2. Fattiez = funny.

3. Ugly-asses = way fucking funny.

4. The Patrick wolf photo = totally hilarious.

5. One squat porcine gnome-boy drawing hearts on some tired, flavor-of-the-week post-glam artiste-boy's photo = pitifully funny.

Sum total = king kong fucking funny.

and if you disagree you're

F U C K I NG G A Y.

he's not all that bad. but don't give me that "oh it's just a message board" thing shit. EVERYTHING blows up on the 'net these days.

he's 6'4", and could kick all of ya' asses.

Posted by maxist | April 28, 2007 10:55 AM

You're right about not judging a book by it's cover - but how can anybody find that funny? You can like whatever music you like, it's not a cause to laugh about.

Thanks for posting this entry and clearing this up.
