This East Village bar is just two avenues from the NYU Dorms in the heart of the East Village is a fully equpped/turn-key operation with Full Liquor Licene. I am exclusively representing the owner of this bar as a real estate professional in Manhattan. This bar is a money maker. The owner has other business that he is involved with and would like to get out of this situation. The place gets packed, and has a history in the area that goes back to the 90's. If you ever wanted a bar, or currently operate bars this is a perfect opportunity to continue your success or start now.Actual listing with pictures here. Should be cheaper than the Knitting Factory.FIXTURE FEE is $300K A price that is negociable! Rent is $15K Per Month

you know... I would love to go to a bar... somewhere in the East Village... somewhere where the people there really knew what 1990 was like... you know?

Maybe some big company will build a 90's nostalgia bar there.

BUT what they don't tell you is that Rififi (aka Cinema Classics Inc.) just got a $5,000 fine from the liquor board
AND
their liquor license is up for renewal
AND
there have been a LOT of complaints about noise and fighting outside the bar (maybe inside the bar too).
AND
they don't have a cabaret license so all that dancey-dancey is a big no-no.
good luck to the new owners!

JUST THINK ABOUT IT--FOR JUST $300,000 YOU GET
A BAR WHOSE LIQUOR LICENSE EXPIRES HALLOWEEN 2007 (WITH NO CHANCE OF RENEWAL)
NO LEASE (IT EXPIRES APRIL 2008) AND WILL BE RELEASED WAY OVER MARKET VALUE
A COMMUNITY THAT HOLDS THE PREMISES IN COMPLETE CONTEMPT
POLICE HARASSMENT DUE TO CONSTANT NEIGHBORHOOD NOISE AND NUISANCE COMPLAINTS
A BROKEN DOWN DUMP IN DISREPAIR AND IN DISGUSTING CONDITION
WHO DOESNT WANT TO GRAB THIS DEAL its NEGOTIABLE
HOW BOUT NOT ONE FUCKIN PENNY

Apparently Rififi is closing at the end of this month.
Their liquor license expires on Halloween and they just got hit with some stiff penalties from the State Liquor Authority. $30 thousand penalties and revocation of license.
The SLA meeting is here:

forward to the 35 minute point for agenda items 3143 and 3144.
Bye Rififi! You were great except for this past awful year.
I blame the Shaw Promotion shysters for all of your troubles.

You realize that with the closing of Rififi will be the ultimate demise of the East Village comedy scene?
