Rufus spotted partying w/ Iman & Anne Hathaway @ Capitale - Nov 10, 2006
Rufus Wainwright, Iman, and Anne Hathaway

Any minute now Rufus Wainwright should be be announcing details on a presale for the four upcoming shows at Gramercy Theatre in NYC. The show will be seated. The LA presale is here (password: judy).

Comedian Dave Hill is known for his wild escapades with Rufus. On April 19th they'll do it again (Dave will interview Rufus who will also play one song) at the UCB Theatre in NYC. $5.00 tickets are available. Rock.

Which show will sell out first

BV, you recommend to see this guy? I don't know his music at all and don't have time to start right now, but if you insist I might go.

Mmm, Anne Hathaway. The things I'd eat off her ass.

presale gone for most nights. guess the folding chair thing made a difference!

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2007 2:28 PM

anyone know how many people it holds?

Posted by soup monster | April 12, 2007 2:43 PM

I didn't find out about it until just now... from you guys at BrooklynVegan... and now most of the pre-sale tix are gone. I'm kind of pissed! I registered at that Concert Maps site a few days ago. And I ever signed up for alerts from Ticketmaster. Yet I missed this whole pre-sale business! How did you all hear about it? Sorry. I know these are just pre-sales, but I'm annoyed.

Tix for the first and second show on presale still available now. Supposdly this place holds about 600 people. And it will be assigned seating, or folding chairs. whatever

The presale information is on Rufus Wainwright's website. The front page.

Posted by anon | April 12, 2007 3:24 PM

The Ticketmaster pre-sale pages aren't even working anymore.

What was with that link BV had the other day? (

Did that do anyone any good?!

Thanks, concertmaps!

I think BV put that up as a "question mark" since the presale had been there before.

Geez. Give BV a break.

Posted by anon | April 12, 2007 3:58 PM

Oh, I don't blame BV. I didn't mean to imply that! BV is great. I just think that these pre-sales are sloppily done. I'm not even complaining about the low allotment. Just the general communication. Rufus' site didn't even have the right info until much later than they said they would.

All the presales seem to be sold out. Ill wait 'til Saturday I guess... do we think they will release any tickets then for the public sale? Or is pre-sale soldout the same as soldout?

Posted by Stephen | April 12, 2007 4:38 PM

The pre-sale has its own allotment of tickets. So there will definitely be tickets on sale this Saturday.

Anyone have a seating chart for Gramercy?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2007 5:21 PM

A quick Google search just brought this up:

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2007 5:42 PM

Hmm... that chart can't be right. I got seat 20. There aren't any seat 20's on that chart.

Posted by anon | April 12, 2007 6:12 PM

Yeah, I don't think that's the layout anymore...the seat numbers now seem to go from 1 to 24 or so, no 100's anymore. From the pictures it also looks the aisle is dead center now. That seating chart must be from before Live Nation took over and remodeled.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2007 11:23 PM

somebody from the msg board called the place and they said they will post the new and updated seating chart soon.
tickets for presale were mostly on the front area of the floor, I'm assuming they will sell the rest on saturday?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2007 8:47 AM

^^anyone find the updated seating chart anon was talking about?

Incidentally, Dick Cavett will also be a guest at this show. Seriously.
