The Sea & The Cake - 2007 Tour Dates
The Sea & The Cake are back with a new album - 'Everybody' is out May 8th on Thrill Jockey.
The record finds the band continuing to perfect their singular brand of dreamlike, hot-buttered pop music that sounds delicately handcrafted, yet effortless all the same. Sheets of glowing guitar tones skip along propulsive percussion underscored by gently funky, instrospecitve bass lines, all adorned by breathlessly delivered lines of lyrical poetry. As always, the band is made up of Sam Prekop (guitar and vocals), Archer Prewitt (guitar), John McEntire (drums) and Erik Claridge (bass).Listen to the song "Crossing Line" here. one of the few bands I've been dying to see and they have to playing the same night as Califone. WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Sea and Cake's records, but they are BOR-ing live. Superduper boring. Maybe it was an off night?

i agree, they are boring live, but i love listening to their records. i went to the sam prekop show at southpaw last year and my jewish ass actually left that show early, wasting part of my 15 dollar ticket!
